Afaik funsohng is S. Korean. South Korea is fifty years ahead of the western countries when it comes to progaming. That's not "elitism", that's "knowledge".

at starcraft, there are some pretty good american stracraft players, like huk, idra etc... name the best korean halo player? exactly.

It take some time get used to but after some time it is fine. You are a bit limited in your playstyle compared to PC but you just have to change it for the slower gamepad controllers

Inconsistancy

The question is is it easier? because if its easier like alot of PC gamers here proclaim, then they could be winning all these MLG halo tournaments with one eye closed no problem... making hundreds of thousands with little effort.

Gotta wonder why they dont just spend a week to win a MLG tournament in halo and win thousands of dollars, when it could so easily be accomplished by any Pc gamer if they only felt like it.

Pit the Halo pros against the Quake pros in a 1v1 match in Quake, PC uses m/kb, console uses controller. I'd love to see the one sided match. But OBVIOUSLY if you take a pro off their trained control device they're going to underperform.

So you are saying quake pros arent good enough to use a controller? dont have enough skill.

1 Person. and you still cant dispute that the game mechanics are faster/tougher in a mouse/keyboard game can you?

entire thread was rife with the ego stroking.

I cant argue that they are faster, tougher maybe.... but a CSS game is tougher, even though quake 3 arena mechanics are faster. How tough something is, is community based.

Personally i find aiming with a thumbstick tougher than with a mouse... even if the gameplay is slower.

[QUOTE="Birdy09"] No, your whole arguement is based around the idea that a player going from M&KB straight to a bloody Controller will somehow make out that the PC gamer is no better because he hasnt used a controller for years, you have no real indication of anything. We never claim that we are better gamers as PEOPLE. just that PC shooters hold your hand less and leave less room for error, which is true. you twisted our words to make it look like we were claiming that we are gaming gods.Birdy09

so half life has was more open ended than the original halo?

And its nice you dont have a massive ego, but ive seen it from alot of Pc gamers.

Single Player has nothing to do with skill though?

I dont even know what skill is in terms of an fps, its only the PC elites that say they got it and consolers dont.

Of course Pc elites cant win a single console tournament despite their skill... but that doesnt matter... because even if they lose, they got way more skill. Because if a halo team wins $100,000 Pc gamer has more skillz, cuz he says so. Dont need facts when you have unfounded opinion at your disposal.

M/KB + arrogance > reality.

[QUOTE="Birdy09"] Twisting our words? ofcourse going from precise GOOD controls, to toy-joysticks fashioned for robotic movement is going to cause problems for a PC gamer. doesnt mean playing with turds on sticks is skillfull though.Birdy09

what it means is that some folks are better at turds on a stick than me... so i cant blame the controls. I would love to blame the controls, but i know why im not good at turds on a stick, is because everyone else is better than me at turds on a stick. So with a console shooter, my PC background didnt make me better than anyone else. Hard pill to swallow for an elitist.

[QUOTE="Inconsistancy"] Wat, how's that less 'available'? Keyboards work fine on your lap (typed from it) and All you need is a place for your mouse that's comfy, it's not like all modern pc's don't have dvi/hdmi/mini-hdmi outsKrelian-co

I had no idea what he was talking about... so i said something.

apparently you have no idea what anyone is talking about, you just seem to answero some random console fanboy comment lol

both pc and consoles have their pros and cons, but if you seriously say its best to play fps in consoels than pcs you probably are just another 15 yo who cant afford a decent gaming rig

you got me, i only have a gtx 460... which cant play PC games at console graphics levels. Ill be honest, the only reason i even upgraded to the gtx 460 was to try to understand PC elitists. I still dont get it. Granted i played online fps in the old days, when basic beige pcs cost $2000 and unlimited internet was $100+ a month for dial up... but im not a real PC gamer, because im not on the bandwagon of people that dont have any concept of history. Pc gaming started yesterday amirite?
