I played the PS3 Ratchet and Clank games and they are great. I would say they aged pretty good. To be honest even the PS2 versions are fun to play. Obviously the PS4 version is the prettiest of the bunch but you should be able to enjoy the older games as well, especially the PS3 library.

It's not bad, I also enjoyed Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls since I do like cinematic games. However, I don't pay more then 20$ for those titles.

In The Order 1886 case I liked the story, visuals and animations are excellent. The game was on a shorter side but for what it offered it was pretty good. Hopefully we see the sequel.

One of the finest RPGs I have played in many years. Very much worth playing.

Didn't like it all all.

- Slow for a Doom game.

- Unbalanced weapons (what happened to the rocket launcher :( )

- Poorly optimized performance

- Unnecessary Load-outs, Call of Duty/Halo gameplay that doesn't belong in Doom.

Disappointing... Hoping the single player is decent..

Hmm, so it will have ties to the franchise but it won't be a sequel. Lets just hope it's a good game first and foremost, Mass Effect 3 left a sour taste for me personally.. The original game remains my favorite.

@dylan417: Unfortunately I doubt we will see the original Witcher on consoles unless it's a full remake. The second game didn't even come out on the PS3 so I have almost no confidence it will make its way to the PS4.

Now, since the Witcher series are so awesome, buff up your PC and get them off Steam. During the sales, I snatched both games for 10$. :) And they are superb. On top of that - go and buy the Witcher novels; Here is a excellent guide:

You will understand the lore much better, plus the novels are excellent. Yes, I'm a Witcher fanboy. :)

I fully agree with Life is Strange, good story and good female character lead.

I would also suggest my personal favorite: Child of Light, Beyond: Two Souls.

Additional:

- Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

- Gravity Rush 1 and 2

- Last of Us: Left Behind

- Resident Evil: Revelations 2

- Alien Isolation

- Infamous: First Light

- Transistor

- Walking Dead: Season 2

Those should be a good start.

Personally, I have always had both and while financially I'm not able to upgrade them at the same time for the last 20 years of gaming I always had both. Why? Simply because they go hand in hand. There were times when i couldn't upgrade my PC due to life obligations and my console would fill in the blank and then when I'm able to bring up the PC gradually to playable levels I would.

Having both will give you more variety and choices and if you're like me there are games on PC and Console that simply aren't available on both. Another point is - if you already have a PC for work, study, entertainment why not have it little beefier and enjoy games once in a while? Plus it will make you PC faster with decent upgrades.

My suggestion with your 400$ budget - buy the:

Radeon R9 380 4 GB - 200$ http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Gaming-Graphics-GV-R938G1-GAMING-4GD/dp/B00ZGF3TUC/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1461500189&sr=1-1&keywords=r9+380+4gb&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_five_browse-bin%3A8259091011

And keep the other 200$ on the side. Wait for the E3 and see if the rumored PS4K is a reality or not. Then - when you can put some money to your 200$ savings and pick up a PS4 down the line. You will appreciate having both. ;)
