First of all, hi guys

I have a intel i5 750 2.67ghz but today i wanted to overclock it and installed cpu-z to check my settings first...

to my surprise my cpu is running at 3.18 instead of 2.67 and i never overclocked it...

So, has it ever happened to anybody else?

and also, i have a DP55KG motherboard and i'm trying to download the destop control center for this board but i cant find it in the intel website, anybody can help me find it?

Thanks in advance for answers :)

Hi guys, i have a problem with my usb ports,

i have 6 usb ports on the back of my pc, but 90% of the time 2 or 3 ports dont work at all, and its never the same.

Also, i have my xbox 360 wirelles controller plugged in with the official microsoft adaptor and its never detected at startup, i always have to unplig and replug it for it to work ( yes drivers are installed)

anybody can help me with this?

is that a problem with a boot file or something? if so, how can i fix?

i searched on the net everywhere, and i can't find anything.

Thx all

All prices from Newegg.ca

CPU-AMD Phenom II 965-$188
MOBO-ASUS EVO AM3 790X-$132.99
RAM-G.SKILL Ripjaws 4gb-$108.49
GPU-Saphire Vapor-X HD5850-$339.99
PSU-Antec TruePower 650W-$109.99
HDD-WD Caviar Black 500GB-$69.99
CASE-CoolerMaster HAF 922-$89.98
DVD-Sony DVD Burner-$23.99

Total (w/o shipping) - $1063.42

You could go with an AMD PII 955 for about $20 less. Also, you could upgrade your gpu now and then upgrade cpu, mobo, RAM etc. later on. If you do that then I would recommend a HD 5870 or wait and see how Nvidia's DX11 video cards perform (and cost).

Hi guys,

so i didnt watch the new components in the last 2 years, since i bought my new pc.

I want to build a gaming pc that can run crysis, or Metro 2033 etc, at maximum settings and 1900x1200 resolution...

I was wondering what kind of processor i need, Corei7 are way too expensive and i dont think we really need it.

Right now i have a intel core2duo 3.16ghz, and ati hd4850 512meg and 2gb ram

I would like a pc with windows7, no monitor, keyboard, mouse etc needed.

I searched and there is no new core2 and quad since the last 2years? are they only gonna make i3 and i7? what is the difference between both?

i didnt even know i3 existed lol

so anyway, any suggestions, for a very good pc that can run recent games with dx10 or dx11 settings? i would pay 1000$ca. (excluding win7 price)

thx. :)

edit: dont mind the bad grammar please lol

edit2: i forgot to mention i can play crysis maxed out right now, with resolution of 1440x900 with average 32fps, i can also play Metro 2033 at high, 1440x900 with average 25 in heavy light area and upward 60fps in low light, or medium light areas.
