okay so i bought Zalman 5.1 surround speakers and when i connect it i only hear center. I plugged all cables respectivelly, F to front R to rear and C to center, when i do my soundcard detects when i plug and it seems okay but when i test the sound no sound is coming from front and rear. does anybody knows why ?

Do i need to install some drivers or something ?

my card is the onboard 7.1 card that was with my motherboard (Motherboard is MSI P45 NEO-F)

thx in advance

i was looking for the great quality ones and yeah i know mostly torrents are illegal but that wahy i asked because tv shows are free on tv and my cable provider does not have the channel for wwe HD so my only way of watching it is with torrents, else i would watch it on my 52inch lcd instead of a pc monitor 22inch :P

[QUOTE="Munkyman587"]Nice... Always fun junking an old computer = P btw, what do you have against Quads? Can't wait for nehalemHelbrec

Hes jealous he doesent have one. And in a couple years itll be fun seeing my 4 x 2.x ghz whoop his 2x 3 ghz.

im far from jealous i didnt want a quadcore

p.s. quadcore does not mean 4x the number of ghz its only quad core or a single ghz chip...so quad 2.4 is still 2.4ghz...quad 2.4 is worst than dual 3.2

btw...why my friend has quadcore 2.4, 4g ram ddr2 800 and ati hd3870x2 with only 30fps on HIGH and me i have a dualcore3.2, 2g ram dd2 800 and ati hd4850x2 and can run ULTRA high with 25-30 ?

his gpu is better, he as more ram and by everybody's logic is cpu is better so he should have a lot more better performance than me no ?

well first off, before saying my new pc specs, here are my prehistoric one lol

p4p800-e deluxe

p4 3.0ghz

ati x800pro

2g corsair xms550

i could run dod:source all max at 20fps

now here comes my monster wich only costs me 800$ can.

msi p45 neo-f 1600fsb

intel core2duo 3.16ghz

saphire HD4850 512meg

2go DDR2 800fsb

now instead of 20 i have 150fps !!!! and with same settings i noticed the graphics are a lot better, and i can also play crysis on 1280res with all ultra high (winXP tweak) with average 25fps wich is very good in my opinion (of course i could play only high with 40fps but meh ultrahigh is so much better)

anyway is it normal to be able to play wich such graphics with this configuration ? I really never taught i would have such a huge performance gain especially that i payed only 800 and my pc is like 2x better than my friends wich costs him 1500$ lol

p.s. DualCore is SO much better than QUADcore for gaming :P

[QUOTE="opamando"]

[QUOTE="Helbrec"]Youll need a lga775 compatible mobo for a dual core chip. SolidSnakeJT

There is more to it than just socket, you need to worry about chipsets mainly. The early 775 boards can only run a P4,not even a Pentium D.

Nope, windows stays on your hd so your fine. I can help you out if you tell me where you live and your budget. (like united states, $300, or w.e)Helbrec

Actually 99.999% of the times, when switching motherboard you will need to do a full re-install of Windows. I have tried, and while I was able to boot to XP, it was so glitched that I had to reformat. I was lucky, a lot of people can't even get it to boot without a reinstall.

ok thx but do you know if the board and processor i chose are compatible ?
