Hey everyone,
I am borrowing my Bro's laptop to do some game reviews(Just Cause and Meet the Robinsons for 360), look at a guide for Call of Juarez(more on that in a min), and also make a new blog entry.
Starting off, this is the computer model I am looking at. It is a Gateway GM5664 TV desktop with widescreen 17"(in a discussion with a Best Buy rep, I can upgrade the screen size to my desired 22") LCD monitor and printer with a price tag of $1,149. The cost is in my price range, so that really doesn't matter. I am not really planning on getting big in PC gaming with this(otherwise, I would just go ahead and build a PC), but I want to pick up Halo 2 PC and maybe Gears of War PC. Anyways, here are the specs (and how they measure to my PC):
Windows Vista Home Premium w/ SP1 (had Windows XP media center edition)
AMD Live! branded Phenom (Quad-core) processor 2.3 ghz(had an early version of Intel Dual Cores)
3GB RAM DDR2(had 2 GB)
1TB (1000GB) HDD SATA II (had 320GB, probably the biggest upgrade)
256MB ATI Radeon HD 2400XT w. TV tuner (had 256MB ATI Radeon X1300)
HD 8 channel audio (same as before)
CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD disc drive (had two disc drives(CD and DVD) before, but this downgrade is nice since I never used the one)
media card reader (same as before)
6 USB 2.0 slots( had 8, slight downgrade that may hurt)
Wireless Mouse and Keyboard (had wired)
On Call of Juarez news, I finished the game, but now I'm working on its many achievements, which is proving to be fun. The guide I neeed is the the wanted posters, since the world is so massive that it will take a guid to find these posters. I also have to find guns or something. Anyways, this game is pretty incredible to play, making it on game that is definitely underrated. The online is actually still active, with over 40 people playing everyday. I enjoy the matches, but if anyone would like to boost for those tough mp achievements, drop me a message or friend request.
Anyways, I am looking into that unit but might pass it up if I find a better deal. Yes, I am getting Windows Vista since I actually enjoy the model of Windows Vista on this laptop quite well and it was always a plan of mine to upgrade to Vista. Thats pretty much it for this entry, aside from me and my usual affair of BEGGING for my readers to read and recommend(or not) my reviews. The Condemned review has no recommendations so please take a look and also when Just Cause and Meet the Robinsons show up as well. Thanks in advance.
Peace,
SoralinkGS
