Brawl's online is absolute garbage, and don't get me started on the gameplay.

I disagree about Cod 4, the atmosphere in the Cod games rivals that of some of the best war movies in my opinion and is one of the things that makes the Cod games so good. But I agree that atmosphere really does make a big difference.

Plenty of people are still playing SSBM. And it's been out for about 7 years. Heck, people still play Smash 64 (through emulators though). It's arguable that PC games last longer but saying console games don't last longer than 30 days is wrong.

ok you need to explain a bit more, no combos? what exactly did you mean by that? how in the world did Melee need more skill to recover? and WTF is tripping?

poster

Hitstun is next to non existent in Brawl, in Melee after you airdodged you were vulnerable, in Brawl you can airdodge as much as you want until you land on the ground. In Brawl no matter how close you are to the ledge, when you UpB you automaticly grab onto it (unless you're really close to it or your character doesn't grab onto the ledge automaticly), in Melee you had to work for your recovery with the skill it took sweet spot the edge (when you grab onto the edge without having your hitbox reach above the edge which would make you vulnerable). And don't tell me you've never tripped in Brawl. It's when you stumble from starting a dash.

Doesn't matter. It would be pointless to port over an old game like that since most people aren't going to buy it. Re-releasing an old game on a console that already has a superior sequel, that's sold incredibly and is still highly selling, just doesn't make sense.

Most people who wanted Melee already have it. Most of them have already gotten Brawl. People who didn't have a Gamecube last gen and brought Brawl and never played Melee don't want a game with less characters and stages.

Besides, the rift between casual players and hardcore players is much greater in Melee than it is in Brawl, meaning it isn't quite as welcoming.

Last I checked Brawl hasn't sold much better than Melee despite the fact less people own a GC than a Wii. And they're re-releasing other GC games, I don't see any reason not to re-release Melee. And despite having less characters I still prefer Melee's roster. The smaller gap between pros and casuals doesn't count for that much when it comes to accessibility considering how casual friendly items and FFA were on Melee already.

what do u mean by overpowered shield?poster

There's no shield stun (when your shield is hit there's a short period of time where you can't anything, it's much shorter in Brawl than in Melee) and shields are released instantly, in Melee the only options you had for attacking out of a shield instantly were your UpB, up smash, and grab.

There's this game called Super Smash Bros. Brawl...

What about it? In Melee recovery took skill, there was no tripping, there was no overpowered shield, and there was combos.
