After this seeing this they could just max out the graphics for all I care and I'd still buy it for the improved atmosphere.
SSBB is a great game, and maybe it should be nominated. I highly doubt that it would be a winner though.
Also, thos people who are saying that Melee was so much better than Brawl, please look at Melee again. The glitches were numerous. My favorite of all time was how somehow magically a guy could have his back to the opponent and somehow grab him without turning. That about pissed me off. They fixed many of the glitches in Brawl.

Also, a select few of the characters in Melee had too much power it seemed. In Brawl it doesn't seem as bad.

Meta Knight says hi.
In Brawl one small mistake can lead to you getting owned by some new guy. Oh well, that's what you get for making a mistake. In otherwords, the bar has been raised.

The is no hitstun, you can airdodge as much as you want until you reach the ground, stale move negation has a much greater effect, and getting knocked off the stage doesn't put you in a vulnerable position because of the increased ledge grab range and magnetic ledges. When compared to Melee, aside from all the zero skill chaingrabs and infinites there is no sense of punishment in Brawl.
Melee definately is better for playing competitively. It's faster paced and has less random factors. However, in terms of sheer entertainment value and quality, SSBB is the better game.

Competitive play is more entertaining for some people.
Nintendorks would be screaming bloody murder at the Evo organizers if their non-fighting game was left out. That argument has no weight. :|

Not to mention they've turned on items for their Brawl tournies.
It's more like "I'm so good, I won't even consider playing you" and "This series is so godly, that other series sucks hard" than "I want to play this game against the best so I can be among them".poster
And you casual players are incapable of being morons?
Have you ever even played in a tourney? Im sorry but you are wrong, i have played a pro Meta Knight many times and beat them with my Diddy or Mario.... Same with Snake, falco, Marth, Dededee....ect poster

It's not too hard to beat a pro Metaknight if you use his terrible Air-game against him.poster
All his aerials are lagless in how they come out and how quick they end, he has 5 jumps, the ability to glide twice and under the stage, his Nair KOs, his glide attack KOs and is lagless, his Mach Tornado has tons of priority (it overides many moves), and is the best edgegaurder in the game.
What's wrong with getting better at a game? Even if you don't like the way competitive players play how do they affect you?
Whether or not Brawl would be considered simple depends on how you're playing it. If it's a four-player match with items than yes it is very simple and casual friendly. But one on one with no items a beginner will have very little chance against someone that actually knows what he's doing. The problem is, when you take away the chaos of four players and items it's not very fun anymore.darkmoney52
It's more fun for some people.
