[QUOTE="lowe0"] What would be the point of being nice to you? lowe0

There is a difference between being nice, being reasonable, and being a condesending douche.

I'm a console gamer. You were already going to be condescending to me. Why bother being nice in return?

Condescending to you? Or your platform? Alot of console gamer's take insults toward their gaming machine personally.

Show me where its backpedaling? And wouldn't your comment right there also be considered smug/arrogant/evidence of a "superiority complex" rather than me saying "here is a list of facts detailing why I'm right"?

"lowe0 I just solved world hunger, we could fertilizie crops with all of your bullsh*t!". Doesn't THAT sound smug and arrogant?

What the PC gamer may not have realized is that high end PC games are on the decline and most of the games are console ports. Games like World of Warcraft that can play on pretty much anything will remain popular. The platform is becoming more niche than anything else. With the release of Windows 8 it will decline even further with consoles being the go to platform for gaming. Battlefield was once a PC exclusive now it's a console port for the PC with consoles being the main focus. I stopped caring about PC games when I realized most of the games are developed to sell overpriced video cards to suckers. Jamex1987

There are new franchises coming to PC, old, popular franchise like BF are selling out to consoles but PC is getting cool exclusives (believie it or not, just because you don't here of those exclusive from whatever mainstream, console focused source of gaming news you use, they still ACTUALLY exist, imagine that!).

Plus, even if PC exclsuives are on the downfall, superior PC versions of multiplats DAMN SURE AREN'T!

And what the hell makes you think this?

"most of the games are developed to sell overpriced video cards to suckers."

That is an idiotic blanket statement if I ever heard one.

[QUOTE="lowe0"] None of which you specified. You don't get to change your argument once you've made it .lowe0

Elaborating on an argument=/=changing it. My argument earlier implied this new addition and did not contradict it.

[QUOTE="lowe0"] You might not want to discuss the cost of anything at the moment. Your track record in this thread isn't exactly stellar.lowe0

What? I didn't take into account very low grade laptops that are far below what my non-gaming friends own? Most of my friends are around 19-23 and are just starting out on their own and are tight on mone, or are older family friends, I can't think of any of them buying a brand new laptop that is that low grade. I was comparing the fact that two medium-grade devices people COMMONLY OWN are the same total cost as one high grade device that outperforms both. People do not commonly own laptops THAT low grade.

[QUOTE="lowe0"] Sort of. The initial setup is the same (EDID), the difference is what happens when the game doesn't run well at that resolution. On consoles, the developers have already figured it out for you. On PC, you have to work out what your hardware can run the game at on your own.lowe0

Most console games run under 30 or even 25 fps, thats running bad, on consoels you can't DO ANYTHING about that crappy framerate/bad performance. On PC you can. And I guarantee you a good $700-800 PC will run 90% of games at 1080p and High graphics levels at resolutions better than consoles. And all you have to do is select 1920x1080 (1080p) and "high" graphics and you're done.

The process is still far more streamlined on the consoles than their PC counterparts.

old age is a turn of phrase and used for a bit of humour, not all of us are angsty kids or spoiled brats which i assume you are judging by your attitude problem and obvious arrogant and downright pathetic attitude.

razgriz_101

Insults in response to a logically counter-argument. And I'm the angsty kid/Spoiled brat.

Considering your attitude yes you are.

get rid of the superiority complex based on your gaming preference, its rather bleak.

List of facts=superiority complex, sorry, my bad

If I am right and I know it, I am confident in the fact its correct, its not a superiority complex.

horse sheit.

UI wise consoles are a ton more user friendly, so is getting gmaes going and all the other bits and bobs tht go with it.

Lots of us dont want to fanny bout with drivers and setting up resolutions in our older age, i'd rather just fire a disk in hit the A button sit down with a beer and have a few games of fifa dont see how thats not user friendly.

lowe0

Drivers and Resolution? You mean like Console firmware updates and...well, SETTING UP RESOLUTIONS ON CONSOLES TOO!!! Setting up resolution is as easy as:

-Know your monitor's resolution (need to do that for consoels too)

-select monitor from a drop-down list

-Done

-If those of you of "old age" can't do that, you have to have a hard time doing basic things in life too.
