This game isn't for you brezzy, its somewhat complex.

ebrezzy1

You mean its not just autoaim and QTE's *sad face*

you mean we need this

thumbnail.aspx?q=4933913048121605&id=605thumbnail.aspx?q=5002044134917396&id=266

the family friendly easy to play anyone can jump into to play dumbed down mouse controls made for easier gaming

So you believe that a device that is accurate enough to allow smooth gameplay based 100% on the palyer's actual skill and input is somehow easier and less hardcore than a controller based game that DOES THE AIMING FOR YOU? XD LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

[QUOTE="jackfruitchips"] 1.Because you're a dev and know for sure it coulnd't work on consoles  2. Typical elitist hermit comments.razgriz_101

1. The countless amounts of complex PC franchises dumbed down and genericized by being shoehorned onto consoles makes this a reasonable prediction.

2. Shove your pointless stereotypes up your ass.

and theres the fact your one of the most arrogant and butthurt hermits on here with a sense of self entitlement even Mitt Romney cant reach.

Stalker could work on consoles, with an optimized interface for the menu's on the console. Its not an exactly deep or complex game so don't kid yourself with some silly arguement.

If they wanted they easily could without dumbing it down despite your belief and various hermit belief.

The inventory system and amounto f control functions alone would have to be stripped down to work on consoles, your point? Not too mention the fact a game as complex as STALKER would sell horribly on consoles, the only way to get sales would be casual appeal.

I'd rather play Skyrim than the first STALKER, which comparatively is a far buggier game. This wouldn't be a bad thing at all. They're an experienced company with great assets to use. biggest_loser

They are also very different games.

im being brutally honest i've played SoC and CoP, and lets be brutally honest how could they not work on consoles despiite various claims?

jackfruitchips

STALKER could never work on consoles, technical limitations aside, the game is to complicated for the average consolite.

[QUOTE="skrat_01"][QUOTE="waltefmoney"]

And why would that not be possible if the game was singleplayer only park?

waltefmoney

It isn't the same at all as humans are driving interactive drama of the game, and zombies are an ever present danger - a natural force if you will. Which is what makes zombie themes done well so strong. Just like how the Stalkers and factions in Stalker are doing just that, and the zone and its inhabitants are a constant threat. Which is a similar theme in the (excellent) film Stalker, and the (excellent) book Roadside Picnic - the precursors to the game 'adaptation'. The A-Life a.i. in STALKER is essentially trying to do the heavy lifting of player like behaviour for Stalkers in the zone, and I can tell you this much - even the most advanced a.i. doesn't emulate the amazing span of interactions and emergent possibilities; Day-Z and EVE Online being examples. There's a ton of potential here, if Day-Z didn't exist then I'd be a whole lot more sceptical about Suvarium.

Well that makes it sound a lot better.

Assuming that's the way Suvarium is handled of course.

I've always wanted to watch Stalker, but never got around to it.

Skrat just described Dayz in the best way possible, its basically STALKER with a larger, single, non-linear map, but the A-life AI is replaced by a player run experience like EVE.

The Witcher Enhanced Edition edges out Gothic 3 imo...Magescrew

But Gothic 3 is way less linear and has way more exploration. For me, those things are important in an RPG.

I've yet to hear one that can't be dismissed.

Avoiding you and your kind would be pretty high on my list of reasons.

People trying to set the record straight are who you want to avoid? I'm sorry I'm keeping you from living in your own little bubble of denial.
