If you compare to the most detailed linear games (like Max Payne 3 for example) Arma 3 is obv not even close. Given the scale it is impressive to me though. But I wonder if it can match something like Assassin's Creed 3 in terms of detail. Especially given that the world in AC3 is far more interactive. Sushiglutton
1. The topic claims ARMA 3 has the most "Detailed" "WORLD"!! Max Payne 3 doesn't have a consistent gameworld at all, just linear, divided, scripted levels, and scale is considered part of detail, so even if you did somehow count MAX Payne 3's collective levels as a gameworld, it exponentially is behind in scale and only slightly beats ARMA 3 in some areas of graphics. Basicly:
Slightly better graphics and infinitely less scale is not as detailed as a game with infinitely larger scale and interactivity with slightly worse graphics in some areas. (BTW Arma 3 will likely beat Max Payne 3 in some graphical areas, texture size for example, ARMA 2 has some objects with ridiculous texture resolutions and it is only fair to assume ARMA 3's will be improved).
2. Assassin's Creed's world is nowhere near as interactive, it may be more cinematic and instantly stimulating, but its not more interactive, ARMA 2's buildings and trees are all destructible, it has 100% dynamic, reactive, and non-scripted AI, as well as ARMA 3 having many more buildings than ARMA 2 and unlike ARMA 2 all buildings will be enterable, and ARMA 3 will have intense physics simulations for every dynamc entity for the game, everything from Tanks, Ships, and planes, all the way down to Bullets and explosives will have simulator level physics simulations.
