MGS3 is one of my all time favorite games. To say I am excited would be an under statement.

I hope they dont screw it up

@pcgamerlaszlo: I dont think the PSP is considered a failure, It sold something like 70 million units

The Vita I think serves as a better Failed Sony Handheld, although most would say it's the much better system.

It's not a bad game and the combat is solid, it's just everything around the combat feels dated.

I think it's a perfect 7 out of 10 game TBH

If MS was the console sales leader, and Gamepass had 75 million subs, then you know MS would be just as slimy as Sony, EA, or whatever big corp.

MS's whole strategy is to throw it all against the wall for cheap and see what sticks, because they have an endless supply of spaghetti (Money) to do so. It doesn't matter if it works. It's windows Phone, Zune, Surface, Skype, all over again

This place has been crap ever since the great revamp 2013/2014. GS lost over 1,000 users because how much has changed and System Wars is still the only active forum around. Like @lundy86_4 said, this place is habitual for us oldies. Even the console wars we have no aren't exactly in a war, just staying alive is what both Sony/MS is doing now.

The Xbox 360/PS3 wars was really the golden age of System Wars.

I agree with all this. I've been around since the videogames.com days.

There's just not much "wars" in system wars anymore. Nintendo has been doing their own thing for 3 generations now, not competing in power and performance with Sony and MS. Basically a handheld platform now.

Sony has been dominant other than the PS3 gen, and after the 360 MS has fell off a cliff and is basically a subscription service now.

PC has no exclusives and neither do consoles, everything gets released for everything or console and PC.

The concept of the system wars that this board once followed was blown apart when console/pc became a thing. We tried to claim high ground with "console exclusives" but really the console wars as we knew it is dead.

What remains is a lifeless husk.... For a little while we were claiming high ground in ridiculous aspects like terraflops and how well we handle lighting and shadows... But that's nothing burger talk.

It seems in 2024 high ground is claimed by whichever company is doing the least harm to themselves with every backwards decision they make.

Holly crap that last part. The big 3 just feel so corporate and it's not about games anymore. It seems like all 3 , maybe not nintendo as much, just keep putting their foot in their own mouths constantly.

@moistcarrot: I think KZ2 and KZ3 are better overall games than the Resistance Series, with R3 being the best.

But the world of Resistance is much more interesting, and I would like to see that re-visited with a bigger focus on single player akin to The Last of Us or another Flavor of Sony single player games
