Too much focus on big AAA games from AAA studios

Let's have the AAA studios experiment and make some AA games (Rockstar with Bully)

This would help bring more unique experiences and create new IPs.

But for now I'll look to indies for AA games. Im loving Weird West right now

The issue is 4 years ago you spent 9 billion on Zenimax then 4 years later spend 70 Billion on Activision......So 80 billion in acquisitions in less than 5 years

But the excuse is not enough resources? BS All MS is doing is buying rights to IPs to put on gamepass and release on other platforms. The easier money is to go 3rd party and sell games, not make the hardware

Stocks must always go up. Until this mindset changes the industry is never going to change.

Gamepass subs have plateaued, and games are still measured on how well they sell. These two things can not exist together. So what can you do? Well cutting studios is the easiest thing, so that's what companies do.

It's stupid really, there's plenty of examples of Sub services plateauing but for some reason they all think, MS included, they will grow to 100 million subs plus more and never stop growing.

@kvallyx: You need a better argument, last week with the new automaton invasion there were over 300,000 divers on a single planet, setting a record for the game on people playing on one planet.

300,000 > 40,000

Rise of Ronin and Helldivers 2

I played Rise of Ronin for a little over 6 hours over the weekend. It is one of the most 7/10 games ever.

The combat is really good, it carries the game for me. But the world and graphics feel dated, like the game should have released 10 years ago.

It's a slow start, I almost gave up after the first 2 hours because it was so bleh, but once it opens up and you're free to do what you want to do more the game picks up.

I also suggest doing Japanese audio with English subs. The English VO is really bad, do yourself a favor and stick with Japanese.

I do like it, but it makes you appreciate titles like GoT

I've never completed or barely played any Zelda, Final Fantasy, GTA or Persona game. I just never really liked them, but I did try them.
