Most Games I try in a demo I end up not buying. Did it with Monster Hunter World and Outriders.

Most games I buy I feel pretty good about beforehand.

Except for Fallout 76, christ what a waste of $60. Never again.

I think eventually Sony will release everything on PC BUT I think first party games will still be 6 months to a year exclusive to the PlayStation consoles first.

That gives people incentive and reason to keep buying consoles AND enough time for the developers to iron out issues for the eventual PC port

Surprised why they just don't have their online PC store. Steam takes a big slice of the pie.

I'm not. It's very difficult to develop and maintain a software/service like that. 30% is prob worth it instead of starting from scratch.

That said, the best time to start would have been 10 years ago - second best time to start is right now. Eventually Sony will wish they had put in the resource investment to create their own PC platform.

Who knows... maybe they are working on it.

I dont think they are working on one. Apparently Sony is doing very well signing their movie and TV properties to streaming providers and making money that way, instead of building and maintaining their own. They kinda tried with PSTV and it didn't work out.

They will probably do the same with games on PC.

I selfishly want it to be Sega.

I really want proper remakes of Shenmue 1&2, as well as a proper sequel with actual closure to the story

God please no, I dont want Sega to become the next Rare.

BOTW yes

Odyssey no, I like the game but it isn't very memorable and just doesn't have any staying power. I don't really hear people asking for a sequel or a follow up of some kind. The game itself isn't really brought up much either.

But it could have the Wind Waker and Sunshine effect, released and then quickly forgot about people thinking they are average, then two console generations later people love them.

Only time will tell.

The problem with Nintendo Exclusives is that they release in the same generation as all the other games, games with better graphics, more engaging stories, and games not afraid to try new things, so safe by the book Nintendo games kind of get left behind in our thoughts. BUT since they are safe, polished and by the books they age well so people generally agree they are great games years later.

I've got a BC PS3 and and a PS5, so I can play almost every game released on PlayStation (Minus a few PS2 games that won't work on my BC PS3)

I don't play old games that often, and when I do it typically isn't more for a couple of hours. A lot of the games haven't aged that well, OR there are better ways to play them with more modern features.

I loved Star Wars Bounty Hunter as a Kid, but It's impossible for me to go back and play because it's a third person shooter with INVERTED ANALOG STICK CONTROLS. I physically can't play it anymore, ESPECIALLY after playing a modern sci fi 3rd person shooter like Returnal, which has really tight controls. The only way I could play Star Wars Bounty Hunter now is to emulate it and Re-button map the analog movement.

TBH after hearing about the shit storm development has been for Infinite, it probably needed to be scrapped entirely and started over from scratch.

But MS needs Halo right now to push Game Pass so......here we are

But there's a difference, new movies aren't released to Netflix Day one with Theaters. Disney Plus and HBO Max are releasing movies to Theaters and Streaming services day 1 and it is indeed affecting movies sales to the Theaters.

Not a 1:1 comparison with Corona coming into play.

Also actors are suing because it affects their paycheck. if their paycheck was tied to both cinema and home theatrical views it would be a non-issue.

They are still having issues even as theaters open back up, most states don't have restrictions any more.

You also just proved a point that you were trying to argue against. The reason they are suing is because of the lack of revenue coming in for Theater releases because of streaming, of course if they had it in the contract for both theater and streaming it would be a non issue. The point being made from the lawsuit is that streaming is hurting revenue for the theater release, doy

Did you even think before you posted that?
