Returnal is a AAAE....it scored 9 here
Star67's forum posts
I liked Halo 4, MCC, and Halo 5, so I don't think it is going to do all that bad, being on Game Pass might make it a harder sell since it seems to be more about pushing subscriptions. Having no co-op is going to be a drag but I am still going to be playing it anyways.
This is my problem with Microsoft's approach to games via game pass right now. Infinite is supposed to be a 10 year Halo game? I feel like this is an excuse not only to sell people a game as a service, but also release an unfinished game and work on it through the years. Screw that. If the game isn't ready, which it most definitely isn't, then don't release it.
Infinite screams of "Let's make some quick cash off the game, if it sucks who cares people will give us money because it says Halo" Then after launch it'll be no where near as played as COD, Battlefield and whatever flavor of the month MP game is out.
I think it will pass PS4 total sales for sure, but not this holiday.
What really helps the Switch is that it's both Nintendo's handheld and home console for the generation. Two markets in one is a great advantage sales wise.
On the other hand, the PS4 still hasn't had a big price cut. It's still $299 new and the pro is $399! I can't believe we haven't seen a $199 base PS4 yet. I have a feeling the PS4 will get one last boost in sales once this happens.....if it happens
Ugh I think Pedro wet his pants, over excitement from his cookie probably
Anyway back on topic for the adults. I'm looking forward to Horizon, loved the first one and the DLC. Sony killing it with the first and 3rd party exclusives this gen, continuing from where last gen left off. So many games to play, so little time.
@Pedro:
@Star67: I strongly suggest reading what I actually wrote. It would save you from the useless rant in the future.🙃
And there we have it ladies and gentleman, Pedro has no real arguments and is a hypocrite.
Since Pedro doesn't actually say anything worth while, I will be treating all his arguments moving forward like it is a child writing them.
Good boy Pedro! That's such a great idea. Here's a cookie. Now run along and play so adults can talk.
@Pedro: You don't have any argument's either going by your own logic. I'm not sure what points you're trying to make are, they make no sense.
You keep saying PS has no games coming up, but that's not true. There's plenty of 3rd party games coming up. Some PC and PS5 and some on everything. But then you change the argument to "well Sony doesn't have any exclusives coming so Sony sucks now!"
But that's not really fair when Sony this Year has released Ratchet and Clank AND Returnal. Plus we have a date for Horizon in February.
So you make an argument for exclusives and how it's bad that Sony doesn't have any coming for the rest of the year. But then people bring up Xbox for comparison where Xbox has had barely any exclusives so far and you cry "But I didn't bring up Xbox, you guys did! I'm talking about Sony. QQ"
So are you arguing a double standard for Sony then? If so grow up and learn some real arguments. You wouldn't have lasted long with this crap back in the real days of System Wars. If you argue exclusives matter for ONE system, they matter for ALL systems. I don't care about GamePass and all the old games you can play on there to "Keep you busy" if you're gonna argue about exclusives put up or shut up.
I do hope you respond with a thoughtful and real argument. You keep ignoring a lot of other reply's from me calling you out...
So, it is releasing three months from now but it would be missing Co-op for another three months and forge for six. This game was schedule for launch last November. 😐
This exactly. What in the F**K were they going to release last November? Probably another Duke Nukem Forever. It would have DESTROYED Halo as a franchise.
I hope people get those features soon after launch, but be prepared for a delay on those features if whatever they release on Dec. 8th has issues that need to be patched.
@Pedro: Care to tell me what Xbox exclusives there are then?
I think it's a good deal, but the "Is there any debate anymore that a "GamePass" style service is the best way to consume videogames?" statement is where I have to disagree. While I defiantly see the appeal to a Netflix style monthly subscription, I still prefer to own my games, especially if I'm going to be paying $1,260.00 MSRP for the service over a 7 year console generation. I think it's great for parents and gamers on a budget, but saying there's no debate on "The best way to consume video games" is a little too hard of a push imo.
Exactly. I'm an adult with a full time job, family, and other hobbies. I can spend months on 1 or 2 games at a time. So Gamepass makes no sense for me since I'm slow at finishing my games. I don't want to subscribe to a service where my game might not be available anymore.
If you're a kid, student, or retired and can play games all day; sure, I can see GamePass being great. Have at it with more games at your fingertips than you'll ever play. Try a game for 5 minutes and never play it again. Whatever.
AND DONT THINK FOR A SECOND, that MS is going to keep Gamepass as such a good deal if the service takes off. You will get higher prices, limited access to games, shorter times games will be on the service, GUARENTEED! Quote me on it.
@Pedro: Can you care to explain that argument Pedro?
In the last 10 days, Xbox gamers have rented 3 critically acclaimed games, totaling $110 in value!
Congratulations. Very happy for you.
Seems like you still have nothing to play after 8 months. 🤭
As a PS5, Switch, and PC gamer what exactly is on GamePass that I can't play on other platforms? Heck let's say I'm a PS5 only gamer, are there really no games for me to play? There aren't hundreds of exclusives on xbox that's for sure.
I really don't get this GamePass argument as it pertains to System Wars. GamePass isn't a System...it's a service. Does it really matter if I pay more for my games to own them? I have PS Plus, been subscribed for years. Have well over 100 games available for free with my subscription. I also like to own and collect games, physical on PlayStation or on Steam.
If cheap games is all Xbox has going for it....I personally think that's pretty sad. It's like "Our system doesn't sell well, has no exclusives, no new features, but it has really cheap games though!"
My rental service is better than yours is such non-sense.
