ok thanks bro...ill let him know that...so if he cancels hes subscription ill still ave gold until november (when his 1 year started)...and then itll revert to silver automatically correct?Serial-No_3404

Correct.

After he cancels the subscription however, and the credit card info disappears, it's probably a good idea (If you want to continue using that account afterwards) to update the password to the account, and any contact information associated with the account, (If he just handed it over to you, chances are it doesn't have your address or name on file.) and commit it to memory. You'll need that info if you ever need extended support in the future if you should need to call that same number on another issue, or if by chance you have a memory unit/hard drive failure and your gamer profile gets wiped out - you'll need to recover it from Xbox live and you'll need to know the Windows Live ID information to recover it.

Then all he needs to do is cancel the subscription as I said. However, even after cancelling the subscription, the account will still remain gold status for as long as he paid for it. Meaning, if he paid for a year's subscription, the account will remain gold until a year's time from purchase, but after the time period is up, the account will automatically switch to silver status. The credit card information is still removed from the account however to prevent him from being billed again.

If you don't play the multiplayer component on Xbox games and just play the single player, or just occasionally download from the marketplace, you won't miss gold. You can still use a silver account for as long as you like.

so i bought my buddy's 360 and turns out his credit card info is in the system....theres live gold till november and then itll renew for 50 bucks....how do i take the credit card info out of the console so that it doesnt bill him?Serial-No_3404

You need to talk to the friend you bought it from and have him call Xbox customer support (1-800-4MY-XBOX.) the credit card info you see there is tied to his account - not the console. If he no longer wants Live period, he needs to call the support number and cancel his subscription (You cannot do it because you hold no claim to the credit card much less the Gamertag, so if you tried, support wouldn't help you.)

If he still wants the Live account, and the subscription, all you need to do is just delete the Gamer profile that belongs to him off the storage device, create your own Live account, and boom, problem solved. He can still recover his Gamertag on another Xbox if he so wishes to do so, or manage his account from xbox.com.

No, it doesn't. You'll have to buy the adapter too. Sorry.

I haven't seen a wired one in a while and I'm trying so hard to find one. Need one for PC gamesQuintinius

Are you referring to the Games for Windows titles that support it? I can't think of many that do, unless you have an expansive collection... About the only two I have that would support it would be Bioshock and Gears of War.

Gamestop, Best Buy still sell it online it seems, but I haven't seen it in a store, you're right, they seem to be hard to find, and I'm not entirely sure why. Are they trying to phase out the wired model?

As far as I understand it, Jasper and Falcon are actually two seperate things.

Falcon was the new model motherboard running 65nm CPUs. Makes the system run cooler and quieter.

Jasper from what I hear is going to be the GPU - not the motherboard.

Although this is what I was told, I can't confirm that this information is true - for all I know Jasper could actually be another motherboard variant, but I've heard it's a change to the GPU rather than the mobo/CPU.

Just wishful thinking I guess.

I had no idea my 360 was capable of this. I guess it's true, you do learn something every day.

Seems it works with most portable devices too - I copied a picture from my MP3 player and another from a digital camera. Very nice stuff. I don't know if I'd call it a theme, but it's something that could definitely be used in combonation with an existing theme, since it only affects the background for the blades and not any Xbox Guide menus.

Thanks for sharing this. :D

Just a quick question for anyone that knows...

I know there's a 360 controller model that's wired, but it's only in white from what I've seen. Does it come in any of the other colors that the wireless models have? (Black, Blue, Pink.) And if they do, anyone know where they are sold?

Just tired of recharging the battery pack for my wireless controller after four days of play, and want to give the recharging a rest for a while, so figured I could play with a wired one in the meantime. Problem is, my 360 is an Elite model, which has the black casing. I'd love to get a controller that matches it.

Do you think GTA will get a perfect 10 on GameSpot?MM87

No.

Why do I think this?

From what I have seen, GameSpot are VERY picky with reviewing games. (And with good reason, there are some terribly awful ones out there.) They're bound to find at least ONE thing the developer either overlooked or something that GameSpot just generally doesn't like about the gameplay/story/graphics/etc. Remember, a reviewer's job is to analyze everything down to the core - single player, multiplayer, graphics, audio, storyline, game physics, bugs... The list just goes on. That's a lot to look over in itself, so a reviewer's job isn't easy. I wouldn't be at all dismayed if they gave GTA IV a 9.0, or even an 8.0. Nobody's perfect, and when perfection happens, it's usually by accident. ;)

I think in the history of GameSpot I have only seen one game that actually got a perfect 10... an N64 Zelda title I think it was, but the full name escapes me.

Edit: Just searched for it again out of curiosity, it's this one.
