The difference is that the Ageia PhysX is from before the buyout by Nvidia whereas the GeForce software is recent.

Just delete anything Ageia.

Well I see the time I spent in the other thread explaining things went to waste, he is just going to keep jumping arguments until he can find one that suits his needs.

I know a reasonable amount about PhysX, so keep that in mind when I tell you there is no engine out there capable of doing the water effects you want. You will find a fancy tech demo every now and then, but the performance and resources required for real time hydromechanics are years away from being practical.

That and Nvidia PhysX is not officially supported by ATI; nor will it work on consoles. No one will make a game that uses something only one brand of hardware on one platform can run, not without significant incentives.

Sorry but you made a coherant and factually correct post. I guess you work on some form of software development and I am a hardware engineer but this guy obviously knows much more.

The way to tell that he knows his stuff is from his inability to string together more than one coherant sentence at a time. Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are fine but these threads are a whole new level of ridiculous.

Water Fluid Physics Ageia/nvidia Demo

wood_duck

It's a demo, post me a video of the UT3 amazing water physics please.

Yes, one that is in-game and actually showing these amazing water physics.

I bet there isn't one.

There isn't one. This guy is messed up lol.

Maybe crytek 2 engine can do physics like im talking about

check it...but i doubt it.

Err that is a video of the Cryengine 2 editor messing around with water physics so i'd say it shows that it can do the things it is doing.... What is your point?

nope ageia only true water physics lol

look above post

No, you have posted a video of a user making stuff with the Crysis editor. Are you just acting stupid?

It says above the video that it is Crysis. It is using Crysis models. The comments are about Crysis. Again, what are you on about?

[QUOTE="dgsag"]As opposed to what other game?woobabooba

ageia physics only thing that can do real water physics.

Omg will you bloody stop, you're just starting this from your pathetic 'UT3 looks better than Crysis thread'. You have been proven wrong so many god damn time its pathetic.

Fact, Unreal 3 engine is nothing flash, give it up already.

actually i owned everyone proved ut3's textures are better

And i'm about to own you; The Unreal 3.0 engine doesn't have implemented water physics.

yea it does....ut3 uses ageia physics engine which is capable of doing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSwASbUzt0s

Water Fluid Physics Ageia/nvidia Demo

much better than crysis.

'Capable of doing' yet it isn't used in UT3 so your point is null and void...again.

No, Nvidia PhysX can too. They actually do it better.

It's the same thing, Nvidia bought Ageia.

Crysis has the best water effects i've seen in any game.

Yet another stupid troll thread *sigh*.

lol i have crysis and ut3 both running in game in the background.

What's the excuse for crysis multiplayer maps textures still not as good as ut3?

Tiny map vs huge island = UT3 Fails.

Look, Unreal Tournament is a dead franchise and you're going to have to accept that some time. Maybe not this thread, maybe not another but soon, and for the rest of your life.
