Sony purchased a nearly $300 million dollar stake in Epic Games right around the time Tim Sweeney was making these comments.

Im sure thats completely unrelated to him repeating Sony's nonsensical propaganda verbatim, and giving Sony exclusive marketing rights to demonstrate Unreal Engine 5 on PS5, and he was actually doing it because Tim Sweeney just lurves PlayStation that much.

Tbh, the offerings on both platforms look pretty bad.

Fable was cool, you know, the first and maybe the second one, but the game regurgitates the same plot progression scheme every single release that it gets boring. A new one is just going to be the same scenery, the same locations, and the same plot as all the rest. Elder Scrolls has interested me less and less every generation since Morrowind. And let's not even pretend Rare isn't going to **** up the Perfect Dark release like they've fucked up every single game they've attempted to make since Xbox bought them out and relegated the studio to creating Xbox avatars. I'll consider it a sequel to Perfect Dark Zero, not the OG that people actually enjoyed.

So looking at Xbox lineup, I can only give as little of a damn as I would Playstation's. Both companies quit trying years ago.

Rare is not developing the Perfect Dark reboot.

Gotta say, her ability to keep finessing the bag out of these billion dollar companies is extremely impressive, tbh.

How she constantly gets these massive $billion corporations to keep throwing a massive bag at her, simply to attach her name/face/credibility to a project and make her the face of it, ending up going absolutely nowhere for years, before being quietly cancelled and closed down. That being said, very good get for the Cows who are.........very big fans of Assassins Creed 1 and Watch Dogs 1 I quess?

Something tells me Sony did this deal because they really needed something to put Playstation back in the news cycle, and get the whole industry including Playstation centric media/social channels to stop talking about Zenimax and Gamepass for a few hours.

It will be at least 5 years before this game ever touches a PS5, if it ever ships at all.

I played these games so long ago 😄

It couldn't have been longer ago than you played Demon's Souls.

I'm more interested in GOW, Horizon and R&C. All will probably be 90+ on metacritic and all slated to release within the next 9 months. Whether they do or not, idk but I'm not gonna claim to know either. Elder scrolls was horrible on PS4. I like those type games but that one was awful. So not interested in the new one much. We still don't know if some of those games will be exclusive or not yet either. Glad you're excited that some multiplat games will now possibly only be playable on xbox/pc I guess. I'll stick with the developers I know have a good track record for now, as far as exclusives go.

90 on Metacritic? You really have that much faith in Ratchet and Clank, huh?

That's.......an interesting bet, to say the least.

Cows get to pay $70 USD to beta test our "free" games for us. You love to see it.

Her last game shipped was the first Watch Dogs game.

Her project she was co-directing with Amy Hennig at Viceral, was cancelled. Studio shut down.

Her game she was directing with EA Motive was cancelled.

Her Stadia game was cancelled, and studio shut down.

She has had a string of bad luck, lol.

I guess its a fitting partnership considering Playstation games are all turning into Ubisoft games lol. Oh well.

Get ready for that distraction rock throwing, crouch walking through special "stealth grass", contextual kneck snapping and outpost clearing, bay-bee!!!

No you didn't talk about "right around the corner". Five months in and Xbox Series has yet to produce a substantial release. Don't talk to us about the shit you're hyped for when you're sitting up empty-handed. Those games are straight up vaporware.

Those games are as much vaporware as Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, GT7 and Final Fantasy 16. 😂

This. Dudes are out here doing endzone dances over a PNG file and an MP3 ripped straight from the previous game, and thought that game was coming this year? They literally showed less from that game than Starfield and Elder Scrolls showed 3 years ago 🤣

Like 3 out of those five games have a chance to be good. One might be an MMO and another is on some episodic bullshit. Anyway, have fun waiting.

Do you have any credible source to back up these claims? Or do you like entertaining unsubstantiated fud rumors that confirm your biases, but also probably get very annoyed at the massive amount of positive Xbox rumors (particularly acquisition rumors), that more often than not, all end up having smoke, or a far better track record than the rumors on the other side?

Careful. This sounds like 13 TFLOPS, Infinity Cache, scrubby scrubbys, RDNA3, and Silent Hill reboot definitely being around the corner. Also, Metal Gear Solid by Bluepoint.

Well at least Xbox has one genre covered

Id say the WRPG, FPS, Immersive sims, and Racing genres all firmly belong to MS right now. So thats 4 genres. All of which occupy massive blind-spots in PlayStation's portfolio.

But you're right. Sony certainly has the Third person, "destraction rock throwing", crouch walking through glowing "stealth grass", marking enimies, contextual neck snapping, and fortress clearing genres covered.
