Entered this thread expecting to see a bunch of Cows pretend they now hate Ninja Theory, though they would have been praising, and somehow weaponizing them against Lems only 6 weeks ago.

Im starting to see alot of Cows say this in response to the backlash Sony's gotten from it.

Its like Gay Marriage. When they realized they were on the losing side of the issue, their opinions evolved to "well I dont care either way". When its absolutely fucking clear that they DO care about this.

Thats why Cows, who built their entire identity at the start of this generation by styling themselves as the "consumer advocate gamers" (back to Jack Trettons "call home" speech at E3) have resorted to defending Sony from a business standpoint, like they're employed by the company.

PS1, but I started on NES. I had an NES in the house, and had access to cousins and friends SNES and Genesis.

For as much as Cows talk about this game, I rewatched the E3 2018 trailer a few times, solely due to Cows bringing the game up. Upon doing so, I've evolved my opinion on Crackdown 3.

I've come to the conclusion that solely on the merrits of the E3 2018 trailer itself, with Terry Crews, it does not look like a bad game. Or, nowhere near what Cows make it out to be. There is no way I can see this game being worse than ANY Infamous game, that Cows love. And I've played ALL of the Infamous games. I even thought Infamous 2 was one of the best games of last generation.

(again, based solely on the recent trailer, not any of the baggage attached to the game, or the strawman of "AAA hype" or the memes of "teh cloudz" or the destruction system,)

I feel like all the hate this game is not based on the merrits of the game, but due to the straw-manning of the hype for this game (by Cows) and making jokes/memes about its delays, about the removed destructability system and cloud technology that we've known was removed years ago.

At best and at worst, this game will be a good mid-tier 80s game on metacritic. With the amount of mocking/straw-manning from Cows, this game could even end up being a sleeper.

I love how you juxtapose Forza Horizon, as a spinoff sub-series, with Gran Turismo Sport, a mainline installment in the franchise proper, as if thats supposed to be some kind of handicap on Gran Turismo, and not the other way around. Thats a handicap on Forza genius.

If the numbers were reversed, it would make sense for LEMS to use that argument to defend the weaker numbers.
