For what it's worth, I don't believe you if you say you played those other Nintendo franchises.thinicerI'll pretend for a few minutes that I care whether you believe me or not, and ask.......Why? I DID own a gamecube dude. Metroid Prime 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. Did i really say anything that farfetched :?

So far my positives:
-I am glad that they changed the animations and made it feel like you are an actual person this time.
-the guns feel better to shoot.
and my negatives:
-the game is slower paced than Uncharted 2
-the turning speed is slower
-his "sprinting" doesnt seem that much faster than normal running
-the graphics arent very good. lets be honest with ourselves, it is not going to magically get much better when the game releases. Uncharted 2's multiplayer had horrible graphics after all.
Okay. Observations: 1) How is Nintendo twisting your arm and "forcing" you to buy their controller? If it bothers you so much, don't buy the system. So I guess im **** out of luck if I actually want the system then right?
2) 87 million in sales tells me they made the right decision.
I could argue that it is because the system caters to children, "casuals" and nursing home residents, but I wont even go there.
3) You said you want to enjoy your "favorite Nintendo franchises", yet you claim you've never played a Zelda game before. Interesting.
Because that means I havent played any other nintendo franchises, like Mario, SSB, and Metroid Prime right?
4) Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 really makes great use of the Wiimote - I can't imagine playing those games with a standard, traditional remote control.
5) Nobody is going to make fun of you using a Wiimote in the privacy of your own home. I promise.

They are not forcing anything? If you don't want to play on a new controller then don't buy their console, easy as that. Your loss.Sgt_Crow:roll: So, what if I want to play nintendo franchises on a next gen console? Then they ARE forcing their controller on me, arent they?
Anybody else feel like this?
Can nintendo just put out a console with a normal controller? Cant they just make a normal console, so I can finally enjoy my favorite Nintendo franchises without feeling like a world c.lass jackass?
Its a shame because I really want to play that Zelda game (never played a zelda before), and Ive been waiting for nintendo's next system just so I can play Metroid Prime in current gen graphics. I also want to play Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2.
What is with this ridiculous push for "innovation" (read: "gimmicks") this gen?
Seriously, when did this get to complicated for people?
Nintendo, why u do dis?
Beat the game on evil last week. The game switched me to hard mode, but it still didnt give me my trophy for beating it on hard for some reason. I guess I have to have started the game on hard, so I have to beat it again to get the plat. Oh well.I'm glad msot people are enjoying the game despite its being a huge flop on GS. I actually thought some people would dismiss the game after it got a 7.5. I'm really enjoying it so far as well and I'm towards the end of my Evil playthrough

[QUOTE="chapnzaba"]I'm enjoying it as well, even more that the first game, but I'd have to say you're pushing it a bit. iraqmt3Just say you don't agree, no need to criticize him for really enjoying the game. Unless he's payed by sony (which I highly doubt) then he just generally really enjoyed the experience. I'm a college student as well free for the summer (mostly) and had a similar experience (not being able to put it down) and would whole-heartily agree that it's easily one of the best experiences I've had with a game this generation. This. I dont understand why a bunch of what i assume to be mostly college students and grown ass men in their 20s are so offended by another mans opinion on a video game :?
People have different opinions than you. If you cant understand that, i'd hate to imagine how you are in real life situations.
Some of you seriously seem bothered by my opinion on a video game :? Does it really bother you that much?
Actually the soundtrack is pretty solid. You should listen to it. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's the best soundtrack ever but it's pretty good. That's kind of the problem, you have to kind of force yourself to listen to it. There is really nothing that grabs you, like a good soundtrack does. There is really nothing that roots you to the world of inFamous 2.[QUOTE="mrmusicman247"][QUOTE="heretrix"]Soundtrack? What soundtrack? I heard a couple of ambient music pieces and the song at the end but other than that it's pretty forgettable. In fact the sound except for Cole's powers was pretty poor. There were times when I was standing on the street and a trolly car would go by and you heard nothing. The sound design for New Marais was pretty poor.

One of my favorite video game soundtracks is from the first Mass Effect because it absolutely nails the feeling of that 70's sci fi universe that ME was building. The Galaxy map theme is probably one of my favorite pieces and is a fixture in the series. I can't imagine going to the galaxy map and not hearing that music.
For infamous 2 there is no defining piece of music in the game. That game could have been set anywhere and you wouldn't have noticed. The music isn't terrible, it just doesn't grab you.
im assuming you havent gotten very far into the game have you? Have you beaten the game on either karma path, or gotten to at least the third island? There are plenty songs in the game that stick with you. Also stop speaking in absolutes. People have different opinions than you. Deal with it. You dont speak for everyone.
