[QUOTE="funsohng"] And I can't believe someone said that it was a letdown compared to the first game. I played the first game right after I beat the second one, and boy, the second one is miles better.

This. I thought the first game was absolutely terrible. I downloaded it from the welcome back program, and I only got to chapter 16 after like 2 weeks. The graphics were bad (I know system wars likes to pretend graphics dont matter, but they were bad enough that it detracted from the game.) Then I get Infamous 2 and beat it in 2 days (not because its short, but because I couldnt put it down). It will forever escape me how that game got a 9 here and the second one got a 7.5.

I think the game is pretty awesome too, but I personally preferred Uncharted 2 just by a tad. I don't know, it just felt more engrossing to me.

But nevertheless, I did like both Infamous 1 and 2 very much.

Honestly, im going to sound unorthodox, but im a cow, and I think Uncharted 2 is the most overrated game this gen. (i will elaborate on this opinion if you want me to). Dont get me wrong, its an excellent game, but nowhere near the best game of all time like other cows hype it.

The thing that annoys me, is that by reading some of the comments on here, I see cows hype the game who just by their comments have clearly never even played it, just hyping it because its a PS3 exclusive and that is just a slap in the face to the developers who actually made the game. I have not felt as satisfied playing a game as I was during Infamous 2, in a VERY VERY long time. And hell I thought the first Infamous was utter trash.

I will admit that Sony has been slowly building up a respectable roster of recognizable gaming Icons basically out of thin air.

And possibly best EVER. I bought it yesterday. No I am not trolling. While best game ive ever played is a heavy handed statement, Infamous 2 is the best game I have played this generation, or at least in a VERY long time. Most certainly the best game on PS3. Beat the game on Hero, gonna play again as evil eventually. First off, this game feels like it was made by a completely different set of people than Infamous 1 (utter trash IMO, I would give it a 6, but alot of people like it). Better story, the gameplay is improved ALOT from the first. The graphics are good as hell (best ive seen on consoles). Not only that, but there is alot more diversity/variety in the environments, enemies, and powers. The powers are ALOT more fleshed out, and polished than the first game. The soundtrack is up there with the best IMO. The game is just fun as hell. Most fun ive ever had with a console game. (yes ive played Metal Gear, Halo, Uncharted, GTA, Red Dead Redemption, etc.... Not to say its better than any of those, but damn. The game just felt "complete" to me. One of the most polished games ive ever played. Red Dead Redemption was previously my favorite game this generation, but that title now belongs to Infamous 2. I will say this though. I owned Red Dead Redemption for months before bothering to get farther than 2 and a half hours into it, yet I could not pull myself away from this game. took me about 14 hours in 2 sittings just on good (before you judge, im a college student on summer break and it was raining for the past 2 days). Ive NEVER cared about trophies or achievements, and couldnt give a rats ass about Platinum trophies, but this is the first game I might try to go for the plat in. Infamous 2. This is how you make a f***ing game. One of the most polished games ive ever played. I have not felt this much satisfaction after completing a game in a very long time, and best on PS3 for damn sure. I very well doubt Uncharted 3 will be able to take that crown (I think Uncharted is extremely overrated). Anyone elses thoughts?

Ever since this generation started it will forever be beyond my grasp of comprehension how the industry has had sooooo much trouble Playing shooters with the Dualshock 3. I've heard people complain about the triggers because they are convex and not concave. Really? Does it really bother you guys that mcuh? Now, the reason I am complaining is because most PS3 developers are making the PS3 versions of shooters by default use R1 to shoot instead of R2, and this really annoys me. How can people possibly find R1 better for shooters than the trigger buttons? It simply doesn't deal right, especially when you are shootng a pistol. All this gen all I have heard is how crappy the trigger buttons are and I just cannot comprehend it. Why is veryone having so much trouble with them? The only reason it bothers me is when some games (Uncharted 2) don't even have the option of switching the R1&R2 buttons. Does this annoy anybody else? Red Dead Redemption used R2 by default on PS3 and it plays just fine. Shooting pistols(or any gun really) in that game just feels so much more natural with R2. Every shooter I play that uses R1& L1 by default on PS3 versions, I always switch it back to R2 & L2 if the game has the option. Call of Duty feels Sooooooo much better on PS3 when using triggers it's not even funny. Seriously, what are these developers thinking? It also annoys me that one of my favorite multiplayer games this gen (Uncharted 2) doesn't even have the option. The only problem I have is when developers leave out the option to change. It annoys me because I'm sure Uncharted would be ahelluvakot more fun to play if you could shoot with R2. I guess what I'm getting at is, to everybody who utterly despises the Dualshock and complains about the triggers all the time, does it really bother you that much?

I am calling it right now, Infamous 2 is going to be GOTY 2011 This game will also surpass (in overall awesomeness) my current favorite game this gen, Red Dead Redemption. God, I can't get enough of these open world games. Who else is with me? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usUn-7zi9HQ&hd=1

isn't it like a year or so befoer the 360 manages that feat?

WilliamRLBaker
You realize PS3 and 360 are roughly 2 million apart right? Unless you expect 360 to magically sell 30+ million consoles within the next year, then...lol.
