@McStrongfast: I don't like the layout of just about everything on the Xbox One. I think the 360 is laid out way better, but MS choose not to improve that design. The XB1 screens are just poorly thought out/implemented. Personally, I think every MS product has taken a step backward in the past decade, especially Word and Excel. MS used to include features to make their new products resemble older products (such as selection Windows Classic layouts in the start menu). However, in an effort to get more people use different features they hamstrung the productivity of those who were used to certain layouts.

Unfortunately, all these kids they hire with marketing degrees are being taught that you have to change things up and make people hunt for things (as that has done so well for brick and mortar retailers). The theory is that if people have to hunt for things they know they want they are more likely to find/purchase things they would've avoided had a brick and mortar store not changed its layout to make you hunt for what you want. So what's worked so well for retail is now being applied to software and anything else these marketers can work their way into. I hate relearning the wheel and I'm less likely to return to a store (use a program, etc) that constantly changes where they put things.

@ecurl143: 3DS units do break down after years of use. Some people want larger/smaller screens, different colors, don't have the newer version or produce more children than others, etc. The New 3DS is at a fairly high price point, $200 MSRP, with occassional sales of $180. There's really only been 2 color options (red and black) for the past 2 years it's been on the market (minus the limited/special edition packages). In advance of the NX release/reveal, Nintendo should lower the MSRP of the system and introduce some new colors...probably with a game and/or power cord bundled in them. Cutting the power cord out was a really obnoxious move in my opinion. A price point of $180 with holiday discounting maybe as low as $160, would probably boost sales by 25% or more.

@Suaron_x: Well, if you didn't purchase the Elite Controller at Walmart yesterday (02/24/16), then it looks like you won't get the $20 discount. I checked today and it was only $1 off list price.

@silversix_: There's nothing wrong with a game from an indie developer, if it's fun to play. Massive Chalice, CastleStormers, Van Helsing and Hand of Fate have been pretty entertaining indie games offered up by MS. I can't pretend to have any clue about these PS games though. The titles don't have any eye appeal either, but you may find one or two of them to be decent (or better). MS is at least throwing out some free games with name recognition on their older system.

In terms of Xbox deals, I was just looking for a new Xbox One controller and discovered the Elite controller was on sale at Wal-Mart for $129 ($20 off). I didn't notice that sale in the last game buying guide I saw here at Gamespot...but I haven't been around to read this site much the past 2 weeks.

Are the DLC's for GoW 2 and 3 worth it? I'm not really into the multiplayer, though I'll play it here and there. The GoW 2 link states there's an addition single player chapter...but is it really worth playing? The link above really doesn't really detail the GoW 3 DLC, so I have no clue what's in it.

@StryfeBringer: I guess you didn't under the plot continuation from 1? That's obviously what'll keep me from seeing 5, 6 and 7, since I skipped...er missed the first 4.
