I'm not overly excited about the new console generation and I suspect my next console purchase will be for a second Xbox 360. I will never purchase an Xbox1, unless MS removes the on-line DRM requirement and Kinect 2. Right now the PS4 seems to be the more attractive future generation console. The two things bugging me about the PS4 is the controller touchpad and the lack of info on Sony's DRM.
Sorry MS, but I don't see the value for the extra $100. I hardly use XBox Live as I won't buy a Gold subscription, so upgrading it does nothing for me. If you had free multiplayer, then maybe I'd see some value in that. I don't want Skype, Twitch TV, Smartglass or the Kinect 2. Therefore, why would I pay $100 extra? For that matter, I'm not completely sold on the PS4 either, but at this point in time it does look more attractive.
I disagree. Handheld gaming is great fun and the PSP is/was a wonderful system for adult gamers. I don't enjoy phone gaming and when you travel alot a handheld gaming system is great to have. I would've bought a Vita if it supported UMD.
Personally I think the Vita tries to do too much. The cameras and the touch sensors are an unnessary expense for someone who just wants to play games. Plus it drives up the costs of the unit.
Movies made from video games stink. The lore you think is so great works in a video game, it doesn't work well in the movies. Go watch the Mario movie and then tell me how great you think this movie will be. It'll make a $100 back because, well frankly people will support rubbish if it's got a big name.
I'd have more hope for PvZ2 if EA wasn't involved. Somehow EA will find a way to stamp out the magic of the original. One things for sure, PvZ2 will have DLC...and probably day one to boot.
You have to prosecute Shilling and hopefully you can convict him of something (even if it ultimately a couple of unpaid parking tickets or whatever). The prosecution is not trying to recover money, it's to show there are consequences for squandering tax payer money. Without the prosecution, it's like saying to the next guy "here come take our money...you need more? "
