I just wanted to commend EA on the fine job they did with 38 Studios. I'm sure you can get the IP from Rhode Island for a minimum investment. Oh yeah, and Bioware's never been stronger!!!

I loved Wing Commander and Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe. I miss how the campaign choices/victories affected the direction/outcome of the war. Though SWotL needed more balancing. I've been looking for a good space/flight combat simulator for a long time. Hopefully, it has a campaign mode that allows you to choose your potential battles, and where bad campaign choices can affect the overall outcome of the war, as much as your flight combat skills.

@koospetoors I thought GS originally gave D3 a 9.0, so I guess I'm mistaken.

So why is D3 rated higher than TL2? The original developers of Diablo and the IP owned by Blizzard are linked, whether you like it or not. This review needs to say hey, D3 does this or that better hence TL2 is just a bit behind. Personally, I just can't fathom how D3 could possibly be better with the always online DRM, the pay to win auction house, and the fact that you have to play the game 4 freaking times to get to the max/levels best gear.

Ideas for more Mass Effect Games:

1) Get rid of DLC. I still haven't played ME2 yet, because of all the DLC. It costs more to buy the DLC than it does to by the game. If you want to expand a game, make a proper expansion pack.

2) Go a different route, from the point of a space pirate, where you have to build/fit your own ship. Provide space combat while you are at it. That market has been barren since Wing Commander ended.

3) Make the game single player and quit forcing multiplayer components into your games to further milk your fanbase.

Obsidian have claimed the developers supporting previous projects (KOTOR 2, NWN2, Fall-out New Vegas, etc.) were rushed to market forcing them to put unfinished/untested products out for consumption. There should be no excuses for Project Eternity. If they fail at this game, Obsidian should be shut down permanently.

The article would be better if they were leaving to found a new "independent" gaming studio along the lines of say Runic Games (of Torchlight fame). If SWTOR was a success, I don't think this event would've come to pass. Obviously both owners are remaining "invested" in Bioware, hence the reason they want the company to succeed in the future while they are out to pasture working on hobbies.
