Is Patcher not that guy who gets 11/10 things he claims wrong? (Yes i said 11/10)

-Snooze-

He does spew alot of nonsense, but i think he is right on this one. Microsoft has been marketing natal for about a solid 8 months now on TV shows, talk shows, etc. Sony showed their controler at e3 and havent done a thing with it since. Natal will become popular, but both controllers are still going to be a joke.

Maybe it will motivate him and his team to stop making crap/mediocre games. I still cant believe they managed to make the multiplayer worse then the first two. All they had to do was balance the classes, make more maps, and it would have been great.

The first was very dull and repetative, i got to the extra chapter on the PC version(chapter before the last) and stopped playing, i just couldnt pull myself to finishing it. The sad part was i bought Gears of War over mass effect, what a mistake that was. I got Mass effect about a month later and loved it, wanted to punch myself for picking gears of war over it.

As far as PC gamming it has been a little weak, the best PC games ive played this gen have been indie games, which i really enjoyed. All the spotlight is on consoles currently, but PC is still getting a great share of games.

It can be a number of things, they are just readjusting, or they suck.

For me i take a little time to adjust between games. For multiplayer shooters i alterate between TF2, Socom confrontation, MAG, and a few others. A good example is i went back to play socom this weekend and i did awful for the first hour. I got maybe 5 kills over the course of the hour. But by the end of the night i was getting 2-3 kills a round, which is very good for socom.

I swear people expect so much from games these days. For me, i compare games to movies or books. I pay 10 dollars for a movie ticket for about 2 hours of entertainment. If a singleplayer game can provide me about 12 or more hours of solid gameplay and fun then i feel the purchase was justified. For me i usually get double or triple out of that in singleplayer games alone since i like to replay, for example uncharted 2 ive played 3 times, i have gotten more then my moneys worth out of it. Depending on the type of game the multiplayer is a nice addition, or in other cases its the whole reason for the game. For example team fortress 2, i would have paid over 100 dollars for teamfortress 2 alone, it has offered me countless hours of entertainment. If i did pay 100 dollars for TF2 i would have still gotten double my moneys worth out of it. But instead of bought it in orange box, for TF2, portal, and episode 2. Looking back i feel like i ripped off valve for such a good deal. Maybe its just me, but people need to reevaluate what they are getting for 60 dollars.

The only local people i want to play with are my actual friends. I like the fact of having friends on PSN or steam that are from different cities, states, and countries, because there are no ties. I am friends with them strickly to play games with, if they get annoying, or i dont want to be their friend anymore i just have to hit the delete button on their name in my friends list. From my experience making local friends off of games can get a little weird, just not my way of making friends i guess.

I agree that too much stock is put into exclusives, but due to it being the viable means to measure how each console is doing in our little "System Wars" brings about an "exclusive or nothing" mentaility.

lundy86_4

Its because it makes sense. Exclusives, is one of the few things that justify owning a console. Multiplates are great, butt they dont justify owning a console. Multiplates are the one thing almost everyone should be able to talk about and agree upon because they are on most systems so almost everyone in here is capable of playing, unlike exclusives. I can tell you right now if the PS3 didnt have such great exclusives i wouldnt own it, thats the reason for owning a system, playing games, and exlusives are games that you can only play on one system.

Infamous is the one open world game this gen that had me hooked from start to finish, it was a hell of a ride. Even doing the mudane stuff like collecting blast shards was a blast just because of how tight and fluid the controls were. Such a great game.

I was going to say assassians creed 2 because it had me hooked for most of the game, but there were some parts that bored me a little, not alot, but a little.
