I mean I'm back.

Why was I gone?

I was never really gone...
I was still one GameSpot, but I just didn't blog or anything.
I just mostly read the news headlines in the homepage
and stayed on the forums (Pokemon BW Trading of course)

Oh that's right I got Pokemon Black! (On day 1)
The 3DS, and some other games too.

What other games?

I'll also post some reviews and comments about them later.

So, I guess I mostly stopped blogging because of school and whatnot.
I actually managed to test out this year,
and I'm currently almost halfway through skipping a grade!
In order to actually skip, I have to work through the next grade over the summer :(
...but hey, then I'll finish early :) and it won't be the ENTIRE summer vacation.

So that's all for now. I'll post some more, but not as often as I did before.

Well...it's official.

Super Meat Boy has been canceled, or in other words is dead.
(At least the Wii versionis)

*sigh*

Oh well, I guess I'll just get...the PC version...

Today I saw the first Black and White commercial on TV.

I read on Serebii.net that if you play the game on the 3DS there will be some enhancements.
I wonder what that would be...

I keep turning on and off my soul silver
to check that all my pokemon are still there and ready to be pokeshifted.

After that I'll be waiting on Raging Ruby and Deep Sapphire (the hoenn remakes)
It makes sense because that way all 5 regions will be on the DS.

And after that I'll be aiming to get a 3DS withMario Kart, thenSkyward Sword.
Oh and of course Ocarina of Time comes out after that.
And then the new Professor Layton 3DS! And not to mention Layton vs. Wright
(That one looks super interesting and really awesome)

I beat Twilight Princess!:D
This game is in my top 5 of wii games (if I ever make the list anyway)

that...is about my only video game achievement since my last blog...
I haven't had much time to play video games either...

Why?
Why would you take away something as cool as that??

I just found out that you will NOT be able to walk around with
your pokemon outside the pokeball in Black or White!

AND the Pokewalker will not be compatible with Black and White.
It CAN be though (because as far as I know,
most of the pokewalker's data comes from the game, such as the time.
It would make sense if there was a little update the first time you connect it to
a 5th gen game)

I'm mostly disappointed about not being able to walk around with your pokemon.
That was one of my favorite features of Heart Gold/Soul Silver.

Why would you remove such a succesful feature?
Especially since they spent showed it off so much in trailers:

Earlier today, I was pondering over what kind of avatar to put.
I perfer something from a video game.
I instantly thought Zelda, because it's my currently the top game in my now playing list.
But after considering some other games,
I reliezed that I've barely mentioned anything Pokemon related in a long time now.

I beat Pokemon Soul Silver 100%

Seriously there is nothing more to do
I got all 5 stars on my trainer card.
Nurse Joy even gets excited everytime she
heals my pokemon, because, according to her,
she has never seen anyone with 5 stars.

The last time I turned my Soul Silver on was...
Oh. Actually just the other day when I picked up
Shiny Raikou from Game Stop.

I'm rambling....
My point is...

I reliezed that I have an AWESOME collection of Pokemon!

Well, I had a great timeon New Year's.
I'm now back in school.
I'm still in theUS by the way.
I got a lot of messages inviting me to join unions.
And some saying I got kicked out.

I resigned from most of them.
And I declined almost all the offers.
Thanks for inviting me,
but I noticed that I'm not very active when it comes to unions.

I did a lot of things the past two weeks,
and of course playing video games was one of them.

A more detailed (thanlast time)quick review some games
plus some new ones I just got.

Some opinions:

Donkey Kong Country Returns:

Awesome. I love this game. It's just as good as the original,
except with really nice graphics. The difficulty is just right.
The co-op is both good and bad though.
For the most part each player is doing his/her own thing,
(unlike New. Super Mario Bros Wii for example,
where you can't help bumping into each other)
and there are a lot of chances to work together.
However, your lives are shared...so if your partner isn't a very
good player, they might keep you behind.

Score 8.8/10

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess:

Wow. If you haven't played this game yet, you're missing out.
The game can leave you stuck a lot, so it's a good idea to keep a
guide with you to peek at every now and then...
You will not get bored of it, trust me.
Just when you get tired of slicing with your sword, you transform into a wolf.
And just when you're tired of walking on all four, you turn back into human.
There's a lot of variety in the puzzles you face,
and the game changes around every time you get a new weapon or tool
to add to your collection. I can't wait for Skyward Sword!

Monster Hunter Tri:

Unfortunately, I can't say a lot about this game. I don't know why,
but every time I turn on my Wii I try to ignore this game. I haven't had much progress.
Everytime I play it, I waste so much time, yet gain so little progress.
I wish I could just jump in to fight the big monsters...

Score ?/10 yet to decide

While I didn't play Monster Hunter Tri much,
I did use the CIassic Controller Pro a lot.
(Which comes with the game by the way)
Especially for Super Mario All-Stars.
Before I say anything about that,
let me review the controller.

Wii CIassic Controller Plus:

It's a great comfortable controller overall.
It has almost no use for regular wii games.
But it's perfect for virtual console (which is what it was designed for).
There are only two cons to this device.
Unfortunately, two BIG cons. Andone neutral con.
First of all... it's NOT compatible with gamecube games...
I was planning on buying some used GC games and a memory card.
Con number two...(which is actually not THAT big of a con)
it has no motion control. It would have been nice if it was compatible with
New Super Mario Bros Wii...
And lastly...it's not a stand alone controller.
You still need to plug it in to a Wiimote.
This is a con because I thought I'd have an extra controller for Super Smash Bros Brawl.
it's not that bad because the good thing out of it is that it doesn't need separate batteries.

Score 7/10
...well actually I suppose it deserves a 9/10.
It depends on your use for it. (For Wii games or Virtual Console)

Super Mario All-Stars:

I've had a lot of fun playing this.
I somewhat regret buying it though...
I could have saved around 8-10 bucks if I'd bought each of the 4 games individually.
Actually more than 10 because I already have Super Mario Bros 3 on my gameboy advance.

So the score for the whole package is 7/10 because it's overpriced
(The bonus CD and booklet didn't add much)
Unless you're a collector who has to get limited-edition stuff.
I recommend you buy the each game on virtual console.

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn:

I had highexpectations for this game, I was kind of disappointed though.
It's a pretty average RPG. I suppose since Dragon Quest IX my standards have been
high. It has good graphics, and the puzzles are prettyneat.

Score 7.5/10

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney- Trials and Tribulations

Weird...this is a weird game. Unique. Different. Odd.
So many words to describe it...
You'll have to try it yourself. Seriously.
The story has lots of moments of suspense.

Score 8/10

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong Mini-Land Mayhem:

A wonderful puzzle game. If you like puzzle games, you won't regret getting this one.
I actually beat it pretty quick. I wasn't sure if that's because I'm awesome at puzzle games
(which I AM ;)) or if the game itself was short. But then I discovered the Expert mode.
And then there's the construction mode. It will keep you busy.

Score 8.7/10

I thought I'd like this game.
And I was right.
I'm extremely overwhelmed by how many different things
you can miss, though.
(Important things that I bet will help me a lot fighting the tougher monsters)

Super Mario All-Stars (limited edition):
Well...there's the good and there's the bad.
It's a great collection no doubt about it.
The bad part is... one thing, and one thing only.
It's a bitoverpriced.
The OST Music CD that came with it only had 10 tracks, plus 10 sound effects...
(I had expected a LOT of music from that CD)
I suppose it's because it was a 'limited edition.'
The reason I really wanted it was becuase the graphics are spruced up
in Super Mario Bros and the Lost Levels.
Or else I'd have just gotten them on virtual console.
I don't regret buying this but...
I don't know...
