I don't understand why everyone is so pro Gamestop? They're not the underdog. They're not the little guy. They're a huge company that is literally making millions upon millions of dollars actively selling used copies of games. They encourage their employees to proactively sell used copies of games over new ones, which directly harms the gaming industry. They are a parasite, albeit a parasite that occasionally gives you a slightly better deal on a game. They are making money hand over fist for doing almost nothing.
@mario-nin-freak I agree completely. People who are mad about this obviously care very little about gaming in general. Gamestop is making huge profits on used games and none of that is going to the companies that actually make the games. Microsoft is just putting some of the money back where it should go and somehow people are mad about it. All people see is that it will make their precious used games a little more expensive, which tells me that they don't really care at all about the companies that make the games and their loyalty and fandom are limited by the money in their pockets, it's always the bottom dollar. Seems like that about everything. Everyone cares, until it effects them.
Does anyone know what the blueprint is made out of? It's not really worth it if it's just a poster, but if it's made out of like plastic or something durable, I think it definitely could be worth checking out.
I'm going to laugh when Sony fans discover that the PS4 employs the same used game feature as the Xbox One. Im sure Sony will downplay the fact that their system does the same thing, and make a huge deal out of the fact that the XO does this.
It doesn't matter either way to me, since I'll be getting both systems anyway.
I am definitely interested to see what is possible on the new systems, given the increase from the previous generation to the present generation. I hear a lot of people saying that the graphics can't get much better and when I hear this I can't help but think that they're being short sighted. It's all about the details. More NPCs. More Vehicles. More Buildings. Less Pop In. Larger Environments. Models with higher polygon count.
I wouldn't say starving per se, but it's definitely an interesting time to be a gamer, and great things will definitely be ahead. I think that the industry in general is obviously in a transitional phase, much moreso than previous generational transitions. Nintendo is being hit hardest by this (obviously) I just hope they make it through this.
This image was created a month or so ago by a Reddit user. He posted this and said that it was "insider information". After media outlets ran with it, apparently not having checked the source, the same user posted another post explaining that the image was something he fabricated and that he photoshopped it.
