Actually, some people like me have all "next-gen" consoles...

But if I were to choose a console for gameplay (right now that is), I believe I will actually choose an Xbox 360. People want to know "how Shadi, How???". Its actually because of Xbox 360's features, and game library. Yeah, the wii has a good line-up coming but still right now, ill choose Xbox 360. Xbox 360's library is incredible.

But once again, if I were to choose which ones capability is better (gameplay wise), ill choose the Wii mainly because of its motion controls.

And thats that.:D

shadimoscouplos

please explain to me how XBOX's library is "incredible". What xbox exclusive games (that arent shooters) are "incredible"???

Your playing, right?

Would you take Wii's line-ip over Xbox 360's?

Now that I noticed it, 360 and PS3 have some/most similar titles, and developers are refusing to make those games for the wii.

Some nice Xbox games, Mass Effect, DiRT, Halo 3, Gears of War, Saints Row, Forza, Crackdown, etc. Just to name a few.

Mass Effect is coming out to PC, and Gears of War already has a PC port. Saints Row and Crackdown seem alright. No interest in Forza or Halo 3 (got tired of the series after Halo 2). Some nice Wii titles: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3, Legend of Zelda: TP, Super Paper Mario, Zack and Wiki, just to name some. So yeah, personally I'd rather have a Wii than a 360 right now

Now, ask me if I'd want a 360 after Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out, I'll answer an emphatic "yes!"

The games wouldn't fit on the system but damn, wouldn't it be cool if they did! I suspect if we ever hear anything about Dreamcast coming to VC, it would be shortly after we hear news on a hard drive solution.

I would say it's partly because devs don't understand completely how to get the best out of the system yet, and partly because the Wii has the reputation of not needing to be "graphically superior" to put out games. With that attitude, devs, especially third party devs it seems, may see the Wii as a system where you can save money by making games that just look acceptable, and not great or outstanding. I'm personally hoping now that Metroid Prime 3, Galaxy, and Brawl have been released and people have seen how great a Wii game can look, they'll reconsider that outlook.

I have the freeware version on the PC, and if the Wii version is like that except more, I think de Blob will be a definite hit! It's got that Katamari-type appeal to it.

I remember watching the cg tv show when I was a kid, and I think the focus was largely DK and crew guarding the crystal coconut from the crocs. It was expectedly cheesy, but back then I'd watch anything if it was even vaguely about video games. I never knew they made a movie about it; it's TV-made or straight-to-dvd, I assume?

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]I think he should apologize for PR reasons, he IS the company he IS the game he IS the brand name. Without his name on games most people would completely overlook them.Jaysonguy

That's part of the answer I was looking for. So to clarify, you think that the result of his apology would be a better image for his games and thus better selling games in the future?

If the game was glitch free (don't care about opinions on the content) then no. That's not in the makeup of his image he's tried to create. He's one brash player in the video game field, he's one hep cat and we can only hope he makes more games that "break the rules"

Since the game was not on the same tier as competing titles I think he should take his hat in hand and apologize because I think it would push people like myself (I know there's not a lot, I'll let you decide if that's good or bad) to pick up his next game.

At the very least say that the next one is going to be better. Instead he's there saying this is the best.

He screwed up and blamed everyone but himself. That's not even part of the punk persona he tries to make believe he is. It's kinda just the opposite.

What competing titles are you refering to? I don't know anything in recent memory like No More Heroes, and even if there were similar titles, why should he apologize to the gaming public if they were better? If you didn't like the game, that's fine, but why should the creator apologize for you not liking his product? Do you want developers to form your own opinions and tastes for you so we'll all be insync with each other next time?

And I don't remember seeing one article where he says No More Heroes is the best. At most, he just says that he thought the market would be more favorable to his game, not "Wii owners are idiots who don't know a good 'hardcore' title" like you seem to think he's constantly saying. No blame was put on anyone; just the fact that his own personal claim was misproven. Even if he did think his game is awesome (and to me, it is), what's wrong with being proud of your work? If I ever made a game, I'd try to hype it up as much as possible!

I'd like the next big Wii game to be something I'd never expect, either from Nintendo or a third party. It's so easy to say Mario Kart or Wii Fit because there's so much hype behind those games. I want something to come out of left field and be awesome while being a complete surprise!

I'm starting to think it's Star Fox just because everyone wants it to be (me included). Either Star Fox or Kid Icarus. Above all, I just hope it lives up to the amount of hype people are making on the forums.

While I'm not entirely surprised by the scores, I haven't read a Nintendo Power magazine since around 2000. I always thought they were sort of biased, but I feel that way with any magazine that has the name of the manufacturer on the cover (it's the reason why I never read the Official Playstation Magazine and whatever Microsoft has). Like always, I'll wait for sites and mags I trust to review games like Okami and Mario Kart Wii.
