[QUOTE="Tokyo512"]That is ridiculously long. Let me finish my vacation WITHOUT reading a whole book.bob_newman

Hey, like you yourself said, it's a long read. It would help if the author basically had a closing summary paragraph that touched on the main points in the article. People like things quick and to the point...and with lots of pictures! Preferably, pop-ups. Remember those? Man, it was fun to be 5; so many things entertained you!

I wish it's either an awesome new Star Fox or Earthbound, though I sincerely doubt the later. I believe Reggie said the game would be out by this holiday season, and I'd love to be flying an Arwing or PSI Flashing Blue Cultists this Christmas!

Yep; Gamestop initally priced them at $15, but that price was just a rumor and apparently has been taken down from the site.

But why should he apologize for giving his opinions (no matter if they are misconstruded or not) on the Wii or Wii owners? You're giving your negative opinions on Suda...by your rule, shouldn't you apologize to him? I don't get the point of this thread?

If you don't like the game, if you don't like the man, don't buy his products! Don't ask him to say "sorry" for something you don't have to be concerned with.

I'd love it on the Wii...simply because I don't have a 360. Don't feel like paying for another system right now, particularly one with a huge failure rate, just to play a game. That's why I love multiplatforming titles; if it's a game that's on more than one system, there's a better chance I'll be able to play it!

Some people are so negative against ports that it's like they almost consider it a swear word. Personally, I don't care about games getting ported to the console, as long as they're good ports.

Well an RE5 port would do really bad =/
A 360 and PS3 only release would do overall better.

I'd think if they used the same control scheme in RE4: Wii edition, RE5 on the Wii would be the best version of the game. The only downside would be that the graphics would be downgraded slightly. As long as it looked as good, or not a little better, than RE4, I'd be happy!

Its not coming out for Wii, is it?jdiamnz69

Nothing confirmed by Capcom, but with their trend to multiplatform, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Wii version a year or two from it's initial release date.

A couple of years back, I was all ready to get a PS3 until at E3 06, when they said it would be priced at $600. Then I looked at the Wii, which seemed both fun AND cheap, and I thought the choice was obvious! I may still eventually get a PS3 when you can pick one up at a price that's resonable for a game system.

What I basically summed up from this article was: Industries chase trends, immitations and copies of genre-defining games are rarely as good as the originals, there's technically no such thing as "casual gaming", and Nintendo always seems infinitely smarter than all of it's critics. So this article really didn't teach me anything that I didn't already know.

It was an OK read, though...long like you said, but the occasional picture helped.

Yeah, but see you already knew this. This article is for people who didn't know it yet (which is a lot of people, by the way).

I did like the whole "birdman" analogy; how copy-cat designers look at the "feathers" of games like GTA 3 and Super Mario and not the "flight" they take. Never would have thought to present it that way.
