My negative side says the "big secret" will probably be disappointing in some way. Like, it might be like Nintendo Power's "secret" they had an issue or two ago where the big mystery announcement was the new Tales game...a game most of us knew about since last year! Either that, or it may be an announcement where the game is something no one really wanted, like a sequel to Wii Play 2; it IS one of the best selling Wii games, after all. Of course that doesn't mean I want to see a sequel to a mediocre mini-game compliation, unless it comes with a free wireless Nunchuck.

Personally, I'm hoping the new game is a new Star Fox (one that is more like the outstanding Star Fox 64 than any of the more recent games) or a new Earthbound. A new Kid Icarus would be cool, but I have a feeling they'd go in an entirely different direction than the old NES game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if handled by the right dev team. Pikmin 3, I would buy without thinking, but that's probably going to come out sooner or later so I wouldn't want that to be the big E3 game announcement. Also, a home console Golden Sun sequel would be cool.

There's already an official Brawl Friend Code on the Wii Forum page. Just go there and start PMing people.

It seems like at least once a month, a "Whatever happened to..." thread is started, either about Saddness, Disaster: Day of Crisis, or Project H.A.M.M.M.E.R. At first glance, I actually thought this was a thread I replied to a few weeks ago.

To sum up, Saddness and Hammer are pretty much scrapped, and Disaster is looking like it will be delayed until infinity! At least with Disaster, I occasionally hear things about the game's developement, even though I haven't seen a new screenshot since it was first announced back in '06. The release date is still TBA 2008, so it could possibly come out this year.

I would hope they try to attempt both; to refine motion controls AND supe up their hardware power. Besides having control schemes that aren't exactly precise sometimes, their main gripe with gamers is that the Wii lacks graphics on par with the current gen systems. If they take care of that next time, I don't see any forthcoming complaints, at least with the system itself.

Knowing Nintendo, they would still have motion controls in their next console, but they'd probably have some new tech that I'd never think of having in a game system. As long as they don't bring out anything like the Virtual Boy again, I'm game!

To me, it would all depend on how much storage my device has, and how much it costs to buy. My main point in deciding what to go with is price. For sdhc cards, I just considered normal ones. For hard drive considerations, I was just thinking about USB hard drives; flash drives or external hdds you could hook up to the back of your Wii via plug...nothing that would make you ship your Wii to Nintendo for installation.

I just scouted around Google for price ranges. Except in a couple of cases, the 16gb sdhcs were generally in the $60 to $80 range, if you knew where to look. Some were priced between $150 to $330, but I think in those cases, you pay for the name brand. In that same 60 to 80 dollar price range, you can get USB hard drives that go between 40gbs and 160gbs. Pay a little more (10 to 15 bucks), and you can get a 400gb one. Again, you have to know where to look.

So I'd have to say if that if I really wanted the storage, I'd go with a USB hard drive over an sdhc. However, if I just need a few gbs to store some DLC or VC games, I'd go with a 4gb sdhc that I could pick up for about $25. That seems like the smarter buy to me; the Wii might not even recognize any storage devices over 16gb, IF we ever got such a firmware update to begin with! I know right now it only accepts SD cards up to 2gbs, or 4gbs in some cases.

I was about to say "probably not", but I just remembered I have a birthday coming up in a few weeks. So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if I got it on launch day or the day after.

I've heard many refer to Zelda games as RPGs, but I've always held them in the Action/Adventure camp. I guess technically they are RPGs as you play a role in the game, but you can TECHNICALLY say that for just about every video game!

I use the GC control scheme as well, but I do have to say that the general control of characters, particularly movement and picking up items, feels a tad more loose than it should be. It might be because I haven't played any Smash game before Brawl for a while (last time I played Melee was about 8 or 9 months ago).

It just seems like sometimes my character won't turn or dash when I want them to, won't pick up something, or won't do a smash. Never had this problem with the last two games, and yes, I'm using a standard GC controller.

[QUOTE="BubbyJello"]But No More Heroes' ending doesn't really leave much room for a sequel, does it?GamerForca

The part that says "To be continued"? ;)

Maybe he just got the normal ending...I hear you die in that one. And yeah, I would consider the game a success. I mean, it's definitely more successful in the U.S. when compared to it's Japan sales. I hope there's a sequel; I know I'd buy it!
