If/when a voice chat feature comes on the system, which it most likely will, I think the way they'll introduce it will be releasing a first-party game where the voice chat feature is integral to play. That could be tricky, so hopefully the game wil do a good job in recognizing voice commands.

Around the release of the game, you'll probably see some third-party games that feature voice chat online. If those do well, you'll see more and more.

They probably won't add the feature in older games (I could see MOHH2 benefiting a lot from voice chat, but I don't see them adding it), though it would be pretty cool.

Brawl compresses all it's data into .bin files. If you open them up in a archieving program like PowerArchiever, you won't get anything. To actually see the pictures, go to this SSBB decrypter page. Just copy the .bin file from your SD card into a folder, browse for the folder on the site, click on the .bin file, hit the "Decrypt" button, and save the picture to your computer.

This is a good list, since it seems you put a lot of effort into it, adding pictures and looking up the prices. I knew most of this already, so it doesn't help me much. Still, good job!

And don't listen to Jasonguy...he's pretty much a troll who loves to think he's smarter than everyone else. Don't be surprised if he starts up his own thread about useful peripherals or one griping about how people call a Wiimote an "accessory" - which it is.

I wouldn't think that crash would cause complications in the future. Nintendo consoles have always been pretty sturdy. I remember hearing lots of stories about people dropping their N64's or Gamecubes with them still working great. In fact, I remember this one letter someone wrote in to Nintendo Power...must have been over 10 years ago. This guy was vacationing in a hotel and accidentally dropped his Game Boy off a balcony that was a few floors above ground. He thought it would be ruined (like most of us would), but when he went down to get it, there was just a crack on the side. The games still ran perfectly!

I also remember seeing this stress test on X-Play, where Morgan tested out the stablity of the Xbox, the PS2, and the Gamecube. She did a bunch of things, like dropping them from certain heights, among others. Eventually, she just took a sledge hammer to the three of them. In the end, the Gamecube was the only one out of the three that would still turn on.

It's one of the things I've always admired about Nintendo systems: they never really brake down.

If you want a Wii now, plan on either spending a lot for a bundle online, or waking up earlier to go scouting for one in random stores. In fact, that's how my one friend got his Wii; he searched for hours, planned on stopping, and met his friend at a Toys R Us. He just happened to mention he was looking for one, and a store clerk overheard him and said they add one. So just go to a store and randomly shout out "Wii"...maybe you'll get lucky! Or thrown out. Whichever...

My other friend got his by having a girlfriend who had a relative who worked at Wal Mart. She bought it for him for his birthday. That girl is definitely a keeper!

well I'm happy b/c I got brawl, and my edition seems to be working well so far, so hopefully there are no glitches.

So I really need some help on a couple of questions:

1. am I in the all clear or is there still a possibility of my brawl being ruined and causing my Wii to glitch up?

2. after I'm done playing, do you recommend I take the disc out and put it back in the case, or leave it inside the Wii?

those are my top priority questions, since I'm going out of my mind worrying if my copy of brawl will cease to work.

thattotally

1. If you've played Brawl successfully, you don't have a glitched copy. Actually, all the "disc error" controversy was due to Wii lens being dirty from dust or cig smoke, so the game copy is fine...unless you scratch it or drop it or something. Even if you happened to get a glitched copy, it probably wouldn't ruin your Wii, so you're good!

2. Well, like all console manuals, the Wii one tells you to take out your disc when you're through playing. Honestly, I've always left in the cartridge or disc when gaming on systems, and I've yet to ruin any of them. I've left discs in consoles for months without touching them, and they always ran fine when I started them back up. If you're really concerned, you can take it out if you want to, but it's not necessary.

[QUOTE="Swifty_Magee"]I played a few web games, but the only one that stands out in my mind was a web version of Clash n' Slash. It's basically a demo version of the retail game (weapons were missing, you could only get so far, etc.). The Wiimote worked as well as the mouse did, perhaps slightly better. If you go to the link, you can try it out for yourself.lunar_aeon

That one's pretty good, lol I've played that one before actually. My friend showed me this game and it was fun too (I've got nothing against Bush, by the way)

That game's pretty awesome! I'm sure in real life, George Dubbya would just wet himself (like most of us, really), but the game is pretty fun. I just played it on the PC, but I might try it on the Internet Channel later on.

I think this was one of the sites I went to once. Didn't try all the games; only a few. The game "Dungeon Escape" reminded me of a way easier, pencil version of Dragon's Lair. I thought that was pretty cool, for what it was.
