I had some minor complaints with some of the technical issues and a few of the gameplay design choices (I wish the free missions were more varied than the "one hit and you die" objectives), but otherwise I thought NMH was a great game! I wish there were more games like it out on the Wii, and I look forward to seeing a sequel.

I do NOT think Suda should apologize for anything! In fact, I don't think game developers should ever apologize for their games as long as they didn't force you to play. If you don't like it, don't play it! Bought it on a whim? Sell it and buy something else. I always thought it was crap that Peter Molyneux apologized that Fable didn't live up to all the hype it was supposed to; when you release a highly anticipated game, you're going to be excited about it's release and try to get as many cool things you can get in there as long as it doesn't interupt the game's budget or limitations. If things don't turn out exactly as planned, that's a shame, but you shouldn't say "sorry the game wasn't an epic A+ title". That's like saying "sorry my baby wasn't cute enough."

Jasonguy made some comment earlier about how Suda doesn't make games as good as the Mario series...when you look at the whole of the Mario francise, that may be true, but at least he goes for something different each time. I think I had more fun with NMH than Super Mario Galaxy, particially because it was such a new experience. I loved Galaxy, but it was basically mixing Super Mario 3 and Super Mario 64, with an improved Sunshine graphic engine. Fantastic game, but not exactly revoluntionary, especially if your a big Mario platformer fan.

Also, to users wondering why there's so much hate for characters like these, I think a large part of it is due to the fact that while some of these games may have been somewhat entertaining, they all featured rip-off characters. All the "mascot" games were blantly stealing character traits and gameplay design from either Sonic or Mario, especially Sonic in the character trait department. There were so many "in you face", "edgy" anthropomorphic animal dudes with "plenty of 'tude" in the 90's, it was ridiculous!

If their respective series' had lasted longer, or if their games at least had something truely memorable or outstanding, then there would be more love for the characters. At least that's what I think.

Bubsy, ugh. This post reminded me of another awful mascot, Gex. Talk about s****y games!peach79

I was going to bring Gex up earlier, but I decided not to. For such a cheesy character, I actually liked that little smart-mouthed gekko. His games may have been average and the character's jokes bad, but it all didn't come off as corny and generic as other platforming games of the same kind. I think Gex was one of the better mascot wannabes.

So I thought Gex was alright, but then again the last time I played one of his games was when I was about 13, so my tastes since then have definitely changed. Probably couldn't stand to play a couple of levels in if I picked it up now.

i think turning the wiimote sideways would work for steering: opinions?TAKE_IT_BACK

Only if they let you tweak the sensitivity settings to a great amount. If they just had one, static setting for the tilt controls, I have a feeling it would either be too stiff or too loose. However, if it was like the control customiblity in MOHH2 where you could tweak the settings to a great amount, it would be great.

Control-wise, I personally hope for something like Mario Kart Wii, where you can either use tilt control, or go old-school and use a VC or GC controller for analog sticks. That way, everybody wins.

why are you against bubsy?2006dc5

Basically the last two posters summed it up. The first one for the SNES and Genesis was passable at best, but the one that was in 3D...there's a special place in designer hell for the team that made THAT mess!

I'm gonna say "no". The Bubsy series as a whole is known to be one of, if not the, worst "create a mascot" game francises in the 90's.

I don't see how you could add anything on to the name "Wii" without coming off as corny and/or lame. For the next console, I think they'd have to go with a completely new name. Maybe they'll go back to the "(insert word or number) Nintendo" naming convention. Or maybe they'll stick with "Revolution" next time. I think it'd be cool if they just called it "The Machine"; it would be confusing as hell to ask for one in stores, but that would be part of the fun!

After playing Metroid Prime 3 and MOHH2, I never want to play an FPS with duel analog sticks ever again! Seriously; while I could, I'd just consider it a step back. In my opinion the only FPS setup that's better is the mouse and keyboard, and that's only because the keyboard gives you the opportunity for hotkeys. The Wiimote could be the best thing for the First-Person Shooter genre since Doom.

That article didn't prove anything; he's just saying he "knows" there will be a sequel, just like everyone "knows" there will eventually be a new Mario game. It's kinda obvious. Except in Kid Icarus' case, it's not! There's no guarantee there will be a new KI game at all since the last game in the series came out for the original Game Boy in 1991. I'd think it'd be sweet for there to be a sequel, but this isn't proof of anything...just speculation from a IGN podcast. When Nintendo actually confirms something, THAT'S the only time to believe.

My thoughts on why the game isn't selling that well is because maybe most Wii owners don't know it exists. This game has been out since October of last year, and I've seriously never heard of it until about a month ago, and that's only because a few users mentioned how great it was on these GS forums! The TC made the Zack and Wiki comparison in the first post; well, I think the main reason why the people who have Zack and Wiki now bought it because of word of mouth and all the "Buy Zack and Wiki!" campaigns.

So if you want to bump up Power Pros sales, tell a friend...and then tell another friend...and have them tell friends, and so on, and so on! I'm planning to tell my sports-game-loving friend as soon as I can get a hold of him. He's got a Wii, and once he gets past the unrealistic art style and simple graphics (he goes for high-end graphics in games), he'd probably dig it.
