I agree 100% Home is just...horrible. what a waste of resources. They could have put the money and development time into something good. Instead of just trying to 1-up MS and Xbox Live.

The only problem is if they continue to live on the success of the PS2, then in a way they become their own worst competition. Continuing to support the PS2 is great and all, but a small # of these customers won't make the jump to the current gen, or might do it with a different brand, due to cheaper price point/games available. I believe Sony already lost a good chunk of gamers to the Wii because of stopping backwards compatability. A large PS2 ;ibrary at home couls have swayed some if it was supported by the PS3. But Sony had to cut there operating cost.cainetao11
They cut BC to keep that stupid blu-ray, which is the reason that they are in last place. I was in Gamecrazy and watched as 2 people picked the pro 360 over a PS3 as soon as the clerk said that they had no BC.

Maybe they shouldn't have ripped so many people off. I did not want blu-ray but, I was forced to get it because thats the only way to get a PS3. I did not want the card readers either or the wi-fi. But I had to pay for them whether I wanted them or not. maybe if they gave the cunsumers what they wanted instead of what Sony wanted them to have, they would be in better shape.

[QUOTE="T-Aldous"][QUOTE="thequietguy"] [QUOTE="thequietguy"][QUOTE="munchlax99"]

[QUOTE="thequietguy"]You know how when you turn on your 360, and make a profile for playing games and get your gamerscore? When you make an Xbox Live account, do you need to use your profile for the Live account? Or do they have nothing to do with each other?thequietguy

you can do either(i perfer same account, you will get a bigger gamerscore)

You can unlock achievements online?

Yes several games have achievements for the online part of the game. Let us know when you get it all figured out and you can add me. My gamertag is in my sig.

Wait, so your profile name becomes your GamerTag if you set up a Live account?thequietguy
Yes, that is how it usually works unless the profile name that you picked is taken already. In that case I would change my profile name to match my gamertag.

I am trying to understand here. You made up a profile to play games on and another profile to play online with? I only have one profile and its the same one I play online with(a gamertag). And yes it shows your gamerscore to evryone on xbox live.

I think that it might be largely due to a comparison of the PS2. Going from 1st place last gen to 3rd place this gen is quite a drop.
