If your friends have 360's then get one to play with them online. On the other hand, if you like the PS3 exclusives better then get one of those. I have both and prefer my 360, if that helps.

While I do agree with alot of your points, you don't have to have the MS wireless adapter. My neighbor uses a ligitech network extender and one of my other friends uses a lynksis wireless router. Just F.Y.I.

If your TV supports HD with the component cables like mine does, just use those. It will run 1080p through component. I have an HDMI equiped 360 and I have used the HDMI and the component and can't tell a difference. So now I just use the component with my 360 and save my HDMI for my PS3, HD DVR, and DVD player.

[QUOTE="Couth_"]

[QUOTE="Lionheart08"]Good idea but what exactly should they strip to do it?WilliamRLBaker

They don't need to strip anything. As tech gets more advanced. They can make the same machine with a fraction of the parts, and smaller chips

http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/dec2008/tc20081222_257990.htm?chan=technology_technology+index+page_top+stories

This is true for ANY peice of technology

actually tech only shrinks to the sizes we see in slims nearly 8-10 years after the original spec is released and even then MAJOR stuff has to be removed case in point the PStwo quit a bit was removed before it was released and they removed the hardrive to get the slim.

@T-aldous
yes and thats what the 80 and 160 gig are the 40 gig but with bigger hard drives its quit sad actually.

Thats why I am glad I found a good used 60 gig for $300.

It does not upscale. I noticed it too playing Uncharted. 720p:(. The 360 is the only one that upscales to fit your screen resolution.

They already made a PS3 lite, it was called the 40 gig. They took out everything that made the PS3 a decent deal.

Why does everyone always include the wireless adapter? It isnt a must.Guybrush_3
I always wonder the same thing. I have been playing my 360 online for almost 3 years without one. How about we include the price of a new dualshock 3 and an HDMI cable into the price of a PS3? Those are much more needed than a wireless adapter. And since they always include the MS $100 adapter instead of a cheaper alternative, how about we include the Sony HDMI cables at $50. I guess that would even it out, actually, the dualshock 3 is $55 buck and the Sony HDMI cable is $50, so that makes the 360 a better deal again! lol

Hey same here. Ive been on xbox since 05 but have been wanting a ps3 for socom,plz tell me more about psn because in order for me to geta ps3 i have to trade in my 360 so I want to know if its worth it?Marine152
There is no way anyone should trade in a 360 for a PS3. Its not worth it. I really enjoy my PS3 but I would have cried if I would have traded my 360 for it.

You have to hook it back up to the HDTV with the HDMI and then change the output settings manually. The PS3 can't figure out when you change back to another cable besides HDMI.
