On another note Nintendo claimed a while back that they would ship over 17 million by march 08. Since they can probably acuratelly estimate how many they can make and they sell them as fast as they ship them VGChartz estiamte of 19.5 million is probably way off.

Well remember MS stuffed to retail chain to get to 10 million last year so for the first half of 2007 they only shipped like 2 million. 5.7 million since July is pretty good. Whenever MS drops the price to 200 dollars or less sales will pick up. It wont die like the Xbox because there is nodominatingdirect competition like the PS2.

You shouldn't. See there is a subtle distinction.

With a PS3, you have no choice but to take Blu-ray, it is in all SKUs.

With a 360, you have a choice to take HD DVD, it is in only one SKU.

If you think Lemmings were criticising the PS3 for including Blu-ray, your wrong. They were criticising it for making it mandatory.

So that's the new argument they're using -- priceless.

I always thought it was:

"Putting Blu-Ray was the stupidest mistake ever! No one even has HD-TVs yet and no one needs a blu-ray player yet. None of the games have benifited from it yet either!"

Um blue ray was a stupid decision. Its the reason for the massive launch price and the reason why the PS3 will be the biggest flop ever in terms of generation to generation sales difference. They will be lucky if they sell 40 million which is an 80 million drop off. If MS releases a seperate SKU with HDDVD then thats great for the people who can afford it or want it. For the rest of us you can expect a 200$ premium next fall.

Its been multiplat since it was announced i nthe first place. I dont know why everyone is acting like this is something new.

I honestly don't understand why some people think Alan wake looks so good. I mean it's nice, but it's not the best. Crysis, gears, UT3 and uncharted all look much better. Some of the textures on Alan wake are downright ugly. I think people are just infatuated with the fact that there are so many trees.jack_russel
