The funny thing is, even with the tagline "finish the fight," they really did leave it open for a Halo IV.-Tretiak

Well you did finish the fight from the original story arc. The war with theCovenent is over and the Flood has been defeated. Any new Halo would be a completely new story with completely new enemies.. hopefully.

The bloom in those pics is way overdone. I hate games that abuse bloom. :( Otherwise they look good.

They prolly just used uncompressed textures for the pS3 and called it real HD for marketing purposes.

I know they are getting a lot of $$ from the Warcraft franchise, but I want a WC4!!!

DarkKefka

Dude they released WC3 and WOW since the last Starcraft. Time for a new Starcraft man. And not some sellout MMO.

NPD numbers usually end on the 25th or so. Thats to avoide the monthly accounting cycle.
Don't these developers learn anything from games like Ninja Gaiden? The A.I. looks terrible enemies just standing around waiting to be used as object to execute meaningless "beautiful" stuns. Little things like the horrible hair physics, clipping all around, something that looks like blood but isn't, and what looks to be a shallow fighting game makes this game a nothing but a hard attempt to make a AAA-game. This game has potential, but looks like some more work has to be done. [/QUOTE

what if the ai was on easy?

Unless developers are crazy they never ever tone down the AI for easier difficulty levels. Its game development 101, it would take away from the experience. All they do is ruduce the number of enemies/hit points/attack power.

Anyway I used to like ATI, but lately they just can't keep up with Nvidia.  I mean 6 months later and the 2900 struggles against the GTS?  That's just not cool.  GermanShepard06

thats because ATI attacked nvidia back in the days out of nowhere and nvidia wasnt prepared.

ATi has won the last three generations performance wise. They kinda screwed up this time but the ywill be back in the game when they refresh r600 with 65nm.

G80 is also going 65nm with more shaders, higher core, memory.

Yep accept the r600 stands to gain alot more with a higher clock speed. Right now its bottlenecked texture wise compared to G80. With a higher clock its massive math advantage will begin to show. ATi obviously didnt get the clocks they were aiming for so they arent even releasing a top of the line part.

OpenGL is easier to program for than DirectX...Vax45

I don't know who gave you that idea. I'd take DX10 over GL any day of the week. You have to Windows, but the API is clean and D3DX is a fantastic support library.

And for the most part, GPU's are API-agnostic. Its in the drivers where things get a lot different (there's a seperate driver for D3D and for OpenGL).

Oh, so did MS make development for DX10 easier than DX9?  I'm OGL all the way, so I'm not really caught up on DX news.

I looked a little bit into DX10 and they really cleaned it up alot.
