Im in the same spot like you. In my situation... im 26 years old and I see games in different perespective now. Most of the single player games are for younger people. Easy difficutlties or very limited gameplay. Recently I purchased Max Payne 3, which has mature story but gameplay... is so bad and doesnt look like a game for mature players. It's only about covering and shooting to ducks. Only Dark Souls gave me some fun because it was hard.

Thank God. Worst big company on the market. I thought Electronic Arts will be my number one enemy but Ubisoft beat them with theiors thrash games. They did the same strategy like EA. First created a big game(Need For Speed, Fifa - Farcry, Splinter Cell), then they proceed to kill the brand and earn as much money as they can until people notice they are thrash. The games like Assasins Creed 8 and Farcry 9 have great advertising and they are fun maybe for 1 hour thats all. After that gamers notice that its ctrl+c ctrl+v level with respawns and same gameplay to the end.

I've never experienced playing Dark Souls on consoles and I own only PC. First start of Dark Souls on my computer was really dissapointing. The graphics and movement didnt impress me at all. It was like moving into 2005 year. Ok but I had given a another chance and I continue playing... 10 minutes of game. WTF is that ? Its not hard at all, looks terrible and combat is really unsatisfactoried. Terrible game I thought and I quit with question how do I get back my money ?

I discussed about this game on other forum and people said that I did wrong. I played only tutorial so thats why it was easy and pretty boring. They convinced me to give it another try. So I finished tutorial and moved to another level(start of the game). After 20 minutes of game... wow NOT BAD. THis looks interesting I thought and played more, more, more. WOW THIS GAME IS FCKING BRILLIANT:) After one hour I met challenge, I fought with minibosses which I shouldnt(because they were too hard for my lvl), I've gone to hidden places, found lot of items, had a lot of fun with this game. I played 5 hours with my friend, died 100-150 times :) FINALLY CHALLENGING GAME ON PC. Im 26 years old and I cant remember when I've played a single player so long in one session.

I almost made a mistake. I almost uninstall this game and put it on internet auction. Dark Souls is an old school game. Challenging like old school rpgs with lot of depth. This is truely game for pc gamers. We have a lot of crap these days. Sorry but all titles are so overrated. Skyrim, Risen 2, Max Payne 3 bla bla bla. These are **** games compared to Dark Souls. **** games for people who only look for nice graphics thats all. Dark Souls is a game for true old school gamers. I cant bieleve this game was first developed on consoles. Seriously how ? The game is so similar to old school PC games and I have now so much respect for console games. Maybe theres a lot more diamonds like Dark Souls which is superb.

from 2009-2012. Only Single player. Im not searching simulations/strategies/rpg/racing games. Action games would be good tpp/fpp/survival horror.

I've just finished Spec Ops. The ending is soooo good. Im speechless. Very underrated game. I recommend it for mature gamers who search the game with great story.

Im in middle of the game and I have to say... this game is really good and different from other shooters. Besides of gameplay which is normal there's actually good story and message about consequences making hard soldier choices. Some people think that war is pretty obvious and simple. You have good orders to save/rescue people or kill a bad guy. Spec Ops the Line gives opportunity to see that sometimes soldier have to make choice like saving the innocent people or rescue someone important. Sometimes you have an order to bomb with mortar a place and after that u noticed that your move killed... innocent people. Spec Ops gives you the reality of war and how cruel can it be. Although its different compared to other games in the genre. Other games shows the reality of war with audio, graphics, story. Spec Ops shows the reality of war more on psychological side. The plot brings us up short how big influence war has to a soldier and why soldiers after the war are never the same people you knew.

btw. Sorry for my grammar because English is not my main language but I wanted to write something about Spec Ops The line. Usually I dont like third-person shooters with cover system like gears of war series but this game is really really interesting because of the depth and message gives to gamers.

Starcraft 2, while not exactly slow, is very methodical and will make you think alot. Any RTS or TBS games for that matter.

This is very bad example. Starcraft 2 is even worse than Quake if we talk about speed of the game. U need alot of multitasking and make VERY FAST decisions. Just look how work progamers handshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo_L9vHLivk. This player is a pro and one of the fastest but still u need to have at least 100apm(3 times slower than this guy) to play this game properly.

Starcraft 2 multiplayer is very stresfull because of that and it wont help u. I actually quit playing this game because I prefer to be relaxed and chill when im playing.

YOu will have problem to find competetive multiplayer game which is slow-paced. If u would have better computer then I would recommend u Arma 2 and play cooperative. This is tactical shooter and its very good.

If u like strategy games - u have more options: Total War series, Civilization 5, Anno 1404 / 2070, Heroes of might magic series - Very good games!

I strongly recommend u to not buy this game for single player experience. In my opinion BF3 have better single player than mw3 and black ops because of shooting experience and graphics. Shooting in MW3 is very similar to shooting to ducks. Its so unrealistic....

Although BF3 single is awful too.

Dont buy this games

Consider buying HD TV 40' - 50' instead of second monitor. U can watch films and play some single player games on tv. Monitor for internet/competetive games.

Theres no reason to be jealous. If I see someone who has a lot of hours in games then in my eyes he's nerd :)

Achievements - They should be earned randomly. Some of my friends in Diablo 3 plays sometimes to get achievements and thats stupid. Achievement should be reward for your normal game. I really regret hunting achievements.

Nothing to be worry about. Just enjoy gaming and dont give a F* about some statistics.
