A tech demo isn't a game. Problem with the tech demo they are demonstrating is it's purely graphical, it shows nothing in regards to physics or AI construct which will have an effect on the real outcome of the product.

First off kill the anti aliasing and then if that doesn't work lower the resolution. Call of Duty 2 from my experiences is kind of a **** on the ROPs from all the z-buffering it needs to get all the details onto your screen. Thank God my 8800GTS 320MB slaps it around :D

It's set in stone, the Wii can't equal the PS3 or 360, however, with proper techniques, it can come close. And to be honest, I'm very excited about his this game and how it could finally change the landscape for the Wii, not just with FPS, but with nicer graphics to please all gamers, not just the hardcore and ignore more casual users. As far as the scenario goes, it could be cool, but yeah it's a copy of Half Life pretty much and I'd be much more appreciative of a HL game coming to the Wii instead. Also I really wanted to see either Rainbow Six Vegas or a similar type tactical FPS come to the Wii with a full cover system just like the Next gen versions, and even lean controls would be bad@ss too.

I concur that it looks pretty generic, but I have hopes.

Nintendo is very, very controlling about who they give devkits to, as a garage developer would be an absolute no-no for them.

1. The game is in EARLY development, hence the real lack of dynamic shadows at this point and some really flat textures not to mention those human soldier have REALLY low polygon counts.

2. This game has potential. The Halo meets Half Life premise could be a winner if it is of course executed well enough

3. The engine developed for this game and for marketing towards other devs teams I think is even more important than this game.

4. Did I mention that the Quantum3 engine is a freakin awesome engine, and the only one of it's kind for the Wii?

So I definetly having high hopes for this without losing my head, because we know this game could be complete **** once released. However I think this game already is opening eyes to the needs of high level engines for the Wii, because graphics do matter, I don't want to year of your BS about gameplay over graphics because even though gameplay is the most important part, the graphics are going to be the medium by which the console and TV interact with your eyes to give you the illusion and immersion we so desire. Also this will really get some healthy competition going between High Voltage and Factor 5. I'd expect Factor 5 to have an even more impressive engine feature set, but so far they haven't revealed anything.

Wii doesn't have that much space in the first place. It's a decent bit for old 8 and 16 bit games, but DLC like extra levels, or even better yet demos, it's a real limit for the Wii. There have been rumors of a USB hard disc drive in development as the Wii will desperately need it later on, and as far as I understand the Wii only supports SD cards up to 2.0 GB max.

[QUOTE="Nibroc420"][QUOTE="Master_Saibot"]Well it supported Reggie's weight at E3 last year and he looks like he'd be fairly heavy.

Lol, I just remembered that it Wii Fit called Reggie fat :P
Strat-Master

I hope it calls people fat in an insulting way

I second that.

After doing some excersizes,
'How much McDonalds are you eating for god sakes?'

I'd lmao

"Your BMI is 34%. Turn off your game and Wii. Go outside and get some real exercise, because Wii fit isn't your ticket to a sexy body."

The insane reaction of Wii fans is proof that even the most nerdy of Nintendo lovers who keep spouting "gameplay, not graphics" do have graphical concerns when it comes to their games. Basically all we can do now is wait it out, get more information, and hope for the best. This game really does seem like an amalgamation of Halo and Half Life thrown together, and it could be very awesome. However my big concern wasn't necessarily the game but the engine. It's about ******* time someone made a Wii specific engine with high level graphical features.
