My videogame senses are tingli-*Is shot

I noticed that most people around here are very quick to judge videogames, usually waaayy before they're even released. Sure, gameplay videos are great and all, but it won't give you the same feeling of you actually holding the controller in your hands and pressing buttons.

Really, I just try to hold back, but its strange that I'm condemning this point of view, but I'm also quick to judge, but the thing is, usually I'm right. No, I'm not bragging or anything, but lets just take...Metroid Prime 3, for example. Great game, right? Gameplay videos looked amazing, but when you actually played the game (after waiting for so long), it just didn't live up to what it was supposed to be. I'm not saying its a bad game, no way. It IS amazing. Its just that hype for games is like quicksand. Some games you can tell ARE going to be good, like MSG 4 or COD4. I'm getting pretty skeptical of all the hype these days.

Another example; Rondo of Swords. Made by Atlus, so you'd expect it to be good. But I knew. I knew. I had already fallen for that trick. I bought Luminous Arc. But yet people still couldn't stop thinking about it. There was never talk about Soma Bringer or ASH, Good quality titles. Maybe I'm being to self-righteous, but I just feel like helping at least one person. All this talk about games coming out in the future, listening to all thats here is like putting a veil over your eyes.

I know this is going to sound weird, but read the reviews before you buy something. I say this sounds strange because , after gamespots whole Kane and Lynch Fiasco, you wouldn't think to trust here. So what I mean is, go to the player reviews; they're your best friend. I used to be an impulse buyer, fell for publishers and franchises slapped on to make games look pretty ( Mana series, I'm looking at you)

Good to get that all out

Pic unrelated

Please tell me I'm not alone. Should I be embarassed to like this kind of thing? I mean, I'm no hardcore otaku, but then again...

I could see this become a hobby, I mean there are so many versions http://www.animetc.com/flash/src/1202690388515.swf

Its almost hypnotizing. Cant stop watching..

Brawl has eliminated my free time, so I'm just going to focus my excitement else

...where? Seriously, beating 10 man cruel mode is hard business.

Really, after realizing how few Wii games are coming out after Brawl (besides Tales of Symphonia 2, AAA right there), I think That I'm more of a handheld gamer. It seems that the greatest RPGs have always been there. The GBA has so many...It seems the only good news these days is about the DS anyway.Speaking of which:

New Disgaea for the DS?

New Valkyrie Profile for the DS? You don't say!

New Summon night for the DS?

Soma Bringer coming stateside?

holy shi-

My game list is piling up

My first review is a game I never would have expected (especially to be so good), Ouendan 2.

Tales of the tempest isn't so bad either, sure it isn't gold, but not as bad as reviews make it out to be.

I still haven't gotten Professor Layton, or FF 12: RW, and now Ninja Gaiden is coming out

As a late comer to the psp, I have to get wipeout: pulse, FFtactics, Disgaea, GoW:CoO, etc...maybe even patapon (but I bet it isn't as good as ouendan)

For the wii, I have, of course, SSBB, but I preordered that MONTHS ago. 3 days. 3 Fricken days left.

And then I have to take a test throughout that whole week that will decide if I can graduate. So much for all-nighters.

Everyone watches Adult Swim, right?

This is kind of how I view people who missed out on watching DBZ as a kid. Those poor poor souls...

Anyway, now that I have this week off from school, I've been catching up on my missed Adult Swim time. I got to watch Furi Kuri (FLCL), and holy crap, I swear its even more twisted than the manga (which was still a good thing). New and surprising: Ghost in the shell-I have no idea whats going on, but its still great. Futurama is gone (to another channel), and is replaced by Family guy.

Now I'm reflecting...I never used to watch TV, I mean, for about a 2 year period I just stopped (I occasionally watched Futurama, Naruto and One Piece, but that was on weekends).

I've also got the Sealab 2021 theme song stuck in my head

I haven't had to write anything long in a while

It seems that my writing skills have decided to take a break since this vacation. CAPT for me this week, can't even concentrate on what to write for the History/English part, always been a slow writer, not necessarily bad, but I have to pay a price for perfect hand-writing (most girls say I have neat writing for a guy). I've never had the urge to be a writer, and personally, I really hate my writing. Everyone always says its good, maybe its because of all those books I read as a kid that expanded my vocabulary. But its nothing compared to what I read. Maybe thats the problem, I mean, what kind of expectations are those? Always had this problem, If you fail the first time, don't expect to be perfect. But Practicing takes sooo long! That must be why I play Guitar Hero

Twilight bracelet : need moar of

The psp could really really use a .//hack game. After playing the ps2 games, and not to mention, was the it first manga series I ever bought (twilight), the series is so great, I don't see how they COULDN'T make one. I know the graphics would be great. I don't even care if they have to remake it. Hell, I'd play them again and again.

The legend of 4 chan...?

Legend has it that if you travel east to Japan, you will find an old man living on the coast just 40 miles south of Tokyo. If you give this man $500,000 he will take you to an island just off the coast that can't be found on any map. This island is filled with people without faces or names, who hold grudges over the most trivial of matters. When you arrive at this island the first thing you will see is a swimming pool that is never open. Just beyond the pool you will find a town that is filled with cats. You must find a white cat wearing a pink bow. If you ask the cat how to get to Mexico, he will stand up and ask you for three things: Your name, your face, and your soul. If you agree to give them to him, your face will vanish and you will forget your own name. You can live on the island and have whatever you desire, but you can never leave the island. The only way to escape is to find the cat again and ask for a young child. The next day a van will pull up in front your house. You will hear a knock at the door, and a voice will ask if you want to come to a party. No one knows what happens if you answer the door.

Expecting Bel-air/10

Makes my Day

I want Captain Falcon's final smash to be an epic Falcon Punch. One that's accompanied by a thirty minute fully animated feature that has the budget of the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy put together times 2.
The animation shows Falcon growing up, learning from his mentor how to be a strong fighter and to fight for what's right. Then, it shows whoever the opponent or opponents are show up and kill all of Falcon's friends and family. From there, things kick back into real time, and it shows tears streaming down Falcon's face as his mask explodes. He begins charging his punch, and in the background, images of his fallen friends and family and cheering him on.
Then, he unleashes it. A Falcon Punch so powerful, that you have to drop your controller because it's shaking so hard. Your sound system explodes, no matter how high end it is. The last thing you see before your TV screen explodes is the enemy turn to dust as they are hit by a flaming falcon the size of the moon.
