Yep! Because that's exactly what Microsoft does: takes the Xbox Live Gold fees and just gives them away to the developing companies! So much fail that a double facepalm wouldn't suffice, and I couldn't find a decent triple facepalm picture. O' well, I tried.

And back on topic: who wouldn't prefer a private jet to a car? Maybe there is that small % of the population who would opt for car, but objectively speaking the plane is better and therefore logically choosing the plane is the *only* option to a discerning consumer.

The airplane is inconvenient for the daily needs of the regular person. It's expensive, draws too much fuel, occupies a large space, requires dozens of hours to learn how to manage and is inconvenient when you need simple things. It is an overkill, and even its borderless roads and fast speeds don't justify the hassle and cost that comes with using one.

Perfect PC analogy.

There's a difference between Mass Effect and Gears of War: Microsoft publishes GeoW to hell and beyond. Why would Epic want to risk a game that sells several millions of copies with MS investing hordes of money in advertising, just to have it on another platform, where it would sell considerably less?
