That's a mod. Native game doesn't look anywhere near that.

Most of these "mods" are done entirely with the sanbox editor, no extra textures or outside resources are needed. All you need to do is change the ToD (time of day) settings and it looks much better. Doesn't impact performance either. Crytek just made boring looking ToDs. That's why Warhead both looks and runs better, cuz the ToDs are better.

The new engine is not a PC engine, it's a Multi-Platform engine and it comes with all the limitations.GeneralShowzer

CE2 is a PC engine, and CE3 is an improved version of CE2. Not improved by much, but it's still equal to or better than CE2.

• Far Cry
• Hitman: Blood Money
• Dark Messiah

Those games you mentioned are modern PC games :P

So you have to use TexMod? That program slows down the game :/

Crysis at Very High is nice, but Warhead is better. The thing that makes Crysis really shine is the mods, such as EQM (Extreme Quality Mod,) Real Lifesis, CCC, High res texture packs, and more. I'd recommend just playing the game first before playing with mods. I think you need Dragon Age Origins before getting Awakening since its an expansion. Metro 2033 is also visually stunning (as well as hardware demanding!)

Disagree. Crysis is longer, and filled with many epic moments. And you actually get to fight the real aliens in the ship.
