Some rocks from crysis look absoultly terrible while others look incredible

Indeed. Most of the enviromental textures are meh though. The game makes up for it with lighting, DoF, and SSAO.

Actually most of the textures are above what you find in most games.

If it's a linear game then that shouldn't be hard to achieve with next gen consoles, the question is can they handle the scale? At what resolution? How much AA? If the answer to those questions is huge scale, high resolution and much AA then next gen consoles are gonna need some serious hardware.

Geoff says that about every big name game, I wouldn't hype it up to much.

[QUOTE="Cyrez60659"]Counter Strike Source The guns are so satisfying. The physics are brilliant too (particularly noticeable when you spray with the AK-47) just like all Source games.sn4k3_64

All Source engine games have insta hit weapons.

No they dont, not unless ur getting headshots on every hit (even then u can survive a headshot with helmet attached). Usually a burst or spray kills, so i'd say its realistic.

Uh, try loading up HL2 or CSS, choose a weapon and fire in to an ocean from far away. You'll see the splash instantly after firing no matter how far you're shooting.

Source uses an instant hit weapon system since most weapons in the engine use bullets. This meant we had to go for a projectile system, which unfortunately doesn't have the lag prediction that Source uses on instant hit weapons to great effect

It's not supposed to be blurry, make sure you have every setting at max. Could you post a screenshot?
