I think a cool side story where she has to deal with the fallout of SHIELD being outed as secretly run by Hydra - and thereby questioning every order she's followed since joining SHIELD - would have been really awesome a year or so ago. As time marches on, though, it might not feel as relevant to the current "Phase" in the MCU.
We have to appreciate the 3 year dev cycle, and each team pretty much has to guess what is going to be popular/relevant 3 years after they start developing a new title.
I also really enjoyed the campaign in IW that took a LOT more risks than previous COD titles - something that the internet constantly criticizes them for NOT doing. It felt more like an epic battle that went back and forth with victories and losses on both sides, plus it was over 10 hours long.
Can't wait to see what Sledgehammer will reveal this year!!
@qbird253: Fair enough. To be honest, I didn't research the beta or changes to the beta. I heard "co-op" and just assumed. I don't feel ripped off because of that, just a little disappointed.
@qbird253: You're right, I should have clarified. I was looking forward to playing this with friends, from start to finish, without having to jump through hoops.
It might not be "that different" than Fallout 3 in tone/mission content, but it's HUGE difference was all that mattered IMO: CONTROLS. The mechanics in FO4 made it feel like a whole new game, and I loved it 1,000% more than previous titles.
@jedbeetle: Agreed. I was on the fence on this game, and co-op campaign convinced me to get it. Now I regret it. This isn't a question of difficulty or "git gud' I was looking forward to another co-op gaming experience. Argh.
@Thanatos2k: Interesting analogy, and I see your point.
However, with shooting games, the difference between KB/M and controller is more pronounced than between a normal control pad and a professional arcade fighting stick.
