Their "horrific failure" was probably better than 90% of the games being released.

@obywan:

Again, some may have their preferences. I buy a huge range of games. SP only like Tomb Raider or Quantum Break; MP only like Heroes of the Storm or Overwatch; SP+MP games like Halo or Call of Duty; MMOs like FFXIV or WOW.. or.. yeah.

Repeating myself here, but the lack of a story or "context" as the OP put it just doesn't mean ANYTHING when discussing the quality of a MP game.

Not everything needs "context" to be deep and strategic and amazing.

What does depth and skill have to do with ADD?

@Bread_or_Decide: Titanfall wasn't a failure.

You can have your preferences, but to call this shallow and no soul because there is no SP? that's so irrelevant. the latest COD had a really great campaign, and the MP is outstanding. but they have next to zero reference to each other. what is the "story" about fighting games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat?

There have been several successful MP only games over the past few decades. Counter Strike and Team Fortress/2 for examples. Not everything needs "context" to be deep and strategic and amazing.

It's still tracking to be $30-40 though.

I can't wait to try it. Looks more interesting than Doom MP for sure, and possibly even Overwatch. I really enjoyed parts of the Overwatch beta, but LawBreakers looks like it's shooting it with even more movement and adrenaline. Can't wait!

I wonder if this is comparable to the extra box included with PS VR? So if you buy a PS4.5 "NEO" and want VR, can you get it WITHOUT that box??

@the-games-masta:

Like most things, quality is relative. The hardware (both the Oculus and Vive) have proven themselves to be capable of rendering VR games and not causing motion sickness. BUT - - it's up to EACH game to satisfy those capabilities, so I'm sure we'll get mixed results. at least at launch.
