I feel the same way. I can't wrap my head around how they feel so differently than just about everyone else. Peter even said that he got into a cool rhythm with his powers - and that's SO COOL! the action in this game is WAY better than they are complaining about, but fine, have your opinion. But it's clearly an opinion in the minority!
I'm so glad I didn't read the review first, and I'm MORE than angry watching this video. This web site has utterly failed me for the last time. I feel like they are completely missing the point of what a video game *review* is supposed to be, and this video highlights those problems so loud and clearly, it's hard to ignore.
Yes, there were people that went opening weekend in spite of reviews. I think we agree on that point.
What I meant was those people agreed with the reviews. With the combination of critic reviews AND the user reviews, people that hadn't seen it were talked out of it.
I agree. I've noticed the same sensation, even from only 20 minutes of playing. It takes a moment to readjust to the real world. It's really trippy.
Also, I apologize for the argument on the Lucky's Tale review.
I also agree that developers seem to be tip toeing. It's almost like they're being too apologetic. Get INTO it! get immersive and creative! give us some unbelievable, MUST HAVE experiences!
Peter, did you get to play Paranormal Activity VR yet?
I'm ALSO curious why the Oculus Touch controllers are coming later in the year instead of NOW. That seems like another tip toeing compromise.
I would love this: an Oculus X-pansion pack that brings the Xbox One's power up to the level needed to run Oculus games. which are essentially PC games on high end systems. the Xbox One is already running a version of Windows 10 - they would be compatible.
Even if such a device + the Oculus costs ~$1,000 that's still cheaper than buying a new PC and the Oculus.
