@Andy639_basic: for 2 and 3, I'm thinking that the Treaty after the battle of Jakku has a lot of answers. Both the Empire and the Republic were probably ordered to de-militarize. The Republic is honoring their treaty by not having a Republic Army/Fleet (and no A Wings, B Wings, cruisers, etc) but gets around it by secretly supporting "the Resistance."
And some I'm taking with a grain of salt. Just because a draft of the script says Luke's planet's name is Ach-To doesn't meant that's still true. Or the scene of Maz using the Force could have been deleted because they don't WANT Maz to have Force powers. We won't really know until/unless these things are named in an actual movie.
@sammyf: Well said. I think it's going to come down to different preferences, and scratching different itches. Why do some people like Halo more than Call of Duty or vice versa? Or Destiny and Halo? Me, I'm ready for both! And Homefront for that matter, bring 'em all on!!
Part of that 3-way dynamic is they all come from different worlds, literally, and have different attitudes. WW is *supposed* to have ancient Greek values - JUSTICE, honesty, compassion, etc. but you're right, she's not above killing people if she thinks they deserve it and/or it serves the greater good.
That attitude is *supposed* to put her at odds with the other two, that view the world very differently.
@ClintCommander: I sometimes play Destiny and think, wow, this is a great game type, if only there was something like this but set on Earth in the near-future. Post-pandemic maybe.
action and action/adventure games STILL lead the industry with the highest percentage of games sold. shooters (including first and third person) make up less than 20% of games sold each year.
@jenovaschilld: that's a good response, thank you.
I personally have both, so I don't care (past the point that I want both to be successful) but I wonder how sales of exclusives on the Xbox One - compared to not many exclusives on the PS4 - affected the sales of those multi-plat titles.
