and then they still sell nearly the same number of copies of multi-platform titles.

@sSubZerOo: exactly, plus, it's upgradeable where it matters most - the GPU - something you can't do with a normal laptop.

@continrc: Depends on the game. games like MOBAs and some MMOs with low requirements will run w/out the extra thing. I think it's a great way to get people interested in PC gaming at a decent entry price ($999)

@hystavito: Yup. And the Wii was backwards compatible with the GameCube. Let that sink in. The GameCube.

Oh,yeah, and at least for awhile, the 360 and PS3 were in the $300 price range and the Wii was $200.

we have to remember that the Xbox 360 and the PS3 weren't really that far behind, either, with 80 million units sold, each.

@Smosh150: I dunno, I think it's one of the best compromises in the industry in a long time. this idea has come out a year or two ago (separate housing for a GPU) but this is a great iteration. I'm super tempted to do it!
