@nargg: "Very few dislikes"? The ****? Are you having a laugh?

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Main Teaser | Prime Video: 76K likes, and 431K dislikes.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - SDCC Trailer: 79K likes and 325K dislikes.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Teaser Trailer | Prime Video (which is the original upload): 129K likes and 1,8 million dislikes. 1,8 MILLION.

On top of that, if you try to search for "The Rings of Power" on youtube, you'll be absolutely flooded with nothing but results for people making negative comments and reactions to the trailers and the impending show itself.

Don't go around deliberately lying to suit your agenda and trying to change the narrative, dude. It will only blow up in your face.

There hasn’t been negative voting on YouTube for a year.

The dislikes are still there, they are just not visible. There's an app called Restore YouTube Dislike (you can just google it), which allows you to see the dislikes again if you install and enable it in your browser. Plenty of people use it. It's been around for quite a while since the dislikes were made invisible.

@ZombieVirolina: He isn't acting like he owns the estate though? Like, at all? Amazon approached him and asked if he was interested in being a part of the project, and he said he would need to look at the scripts first. He then never heard from them, but he said it was totally fine he didn't hear back from them, and he also wished them the best of luck, and said he was looking forward to watching the show as a neutral party. I'm confused as to how you feel any of this sounds like someone acting like they own the estate?

I'm not even going to bother watching it. It's basically fanfiction, with no respect for Tolkien's wishes. Every video clip and trailer for the show on youtube has more dislikes and negative comments than likes and positive comments, for a reason.

I mean, so far there has been no real reason for me to get one. I don't care about super fancy graphics (never have), I care about games, and so far the PS exclusive games I care about have been made available on the PS4, so I don't yet have a need for a PS5. Between my PC, Switch, and PS4, I'm more than covered, especially with my backlog. God of War: Ragnarok would have made me grab a PS5, but it's on the PS4, so I still don't need one. Not even sure why it's selling as well it is, to be honest. As for the XBox, I've never owned any of their consoles in my life, and probably never will.

@skyx26: I said almost every prequel or sequel. :-P Also, that was a while back. There were a lot more good sequels back then. These days the situation has gotten worse, with a lot more bad sequels than before.

The original imo had the best shootout scene in movie history. I don't have much faith in a prequel or sequel this late in the game though. Hollywood has conditioned me into believing that almost every prequel or sequel that is made, will be vastly inferior to the original(s).

@vgmkyle: Will just have to agree to disagree. To me the game is a straight up masterpiece, and one of the best games I've ever played. The old games meanwhile, although I played through every single one, were for me never anything other than mediocre.

Also, for this game, several of the sidequests aren't even available until really late in the game's story, so if you beat all the sidequests in less than a day, then you must have finished most of the entire game in less than a day, which sounds completely unbelievable to me even if you were to skip lots of stuff. Unless of course, you saved all the sidequests for late in the game, and then did them all in a row in bulk. But even then, I don't know how you manage to be that fast. It would take me tons more time, so I struggle to believe it could be done unless you skip stuff. Off the top of my head, there are at least 6 large, unique locations in the game that are just for sidequests, and some you have to return to more than once. Then there are all the smaller islands in Midgard on top of that. Niflheim and Muspelheim are also rather time consuming to complete. Also, I don't agree with you at all about the side quests being very basic fetch quests. If you get several entire huge, unique areas dedicated just to sidequests, then a lot of effort was put into them, and they are incredibly fun. That you happen to grab a specific item at the end of said areas doesn't matter. Plus, several of them also involve saving the dragons, fighting extra bosses like Soul Eaters, the Valkyries etc. Those are not fetch quests.
