Teenage supes? School setting? Ewww, no, I don't want this. Hard pass. Main show is great though, but my only question at this point is, just how long am I going to have to wait before I finally get to see Homelander get his? Soldier Boy is (let's not forget he's still alive...) just as much of a murdering asshole himself, no doubt about that, but it was never the less too bad that he, Maeve, and Butcher in the end didn't team up against Homelander after all, because of goddamn Ryan being there...The 3 of them together would have kicked Homelander's ass for sure. I was really impressed by how well Maeve managed to do against him on her own, and how she even actually managed to inflict some damage. She was stronger than I thought she would be. She needs to get injected with the blue V again, to get her powers back. Butcher needs to do the same so he doesn't die from the green V.

@daidochus: It's more possible than you'd think. I only discovered the show earlier this year as well, despite being subscribed to Gamespot newsletters, going on youtube pretty much every day, and checking IMDB constantly because I watch so many movies all the time.

@ps5gamer: As others in the comments have already said, it should be easy to select whether you want a physical or a digital copy of the game in your box on checkout when buying digitally, and same when physically preordering in shops, where you just tell them which one you want. They just need to pack the game disc or download code into the collecter's box before shipping it out, rather than making everything pre-packed. So, no, it doesn't make perfect sense business wise, and it isn't a good, valid argument. It's just an excuse for Santa Monica and/or Sony to be lazy. Unless they genuinely haven't thought about what I just said, but that's very hard to believe. Same as it's very hard to believe they should have any trouble implementing such a solution.

Not sure why he's trying to make it sound like it's a move/switch in focus they're making now. They already did the same thing with the FF7 Remake, and with FF 15 before that. For me, it's why Final Fantasy games aren't worth my time at all anymore. I enjoy real-time/turn based hybrid RPG's like FF 13, Xenoblade Chronicles, Ni no Kuni etc, but fully real-time, action oriented RPG's like FF 15 and Ni no Kuni 2, are just boring to me, gameplay wise. If I want to play real time action oriented games, I'll play Devil May Cry, God of War, Zelda etc. There are plenty of good games like that. When I play an RPG, I want less stress, more complex combat, and more strategy. Besides, the main reason for me to play RPG's are good stories, great world building, interesting settings, and complex characters.

@thelostscribe: Yes, but things have changed a bit with this soft reboot of the series, so things might not happen like that anymore. Of course things might happen the way you said, but I want to keep an open mind, and think positive.

@tmthywtsn: Sorry sorry, I know I'm being annoying. ('^_^ ) It's just I keep seeing so many people making this mistake (and mixing up its/it's, and were/we're etc), and it's always been bugging me. You just happened to be the one on the receiving end when I finally just couldn't take it anymore, and had to say something. :-P What surprises me the most is, it seems these common mistakes are made just as much by native English speakers as by non-native ones, which really makes me wonder why that is the case. We learned the differences between all of these in the Norwegian schools I went to pretty early on, but maybe for some reason they don't in US schools for example? I dunno. Sorry, I'm rambling. Carry on.

Game will be absolutely amazing, I'm sure. Can't wait to play it. Happy it's on PS4, so I don't have to hunt for a PS5 just to play the one game. The previous game already had beautiful graphics anyway.

That said...lol, a collector's edition with a steelbook, but no physical game disc. Hilarious. What is this nonsense? Modern gaming is becoming increasingly dumb (talking about the practices by game publishers, not the gamers themselves).

Well, thankfully it doesn't matter to me; just makes avoiding the fancy smanshy editions all the easier. I used to preorder and buy stuff like this when I was younger, but as I grew older, I simply grew out of it. Now all I really care about are the games themselves, not giant plastic hammers, rings, dices and other useless crap. I guess I still might find figures kinda cool if they are well made, but in my experience this is exceptionally rare. Currently the only physical trinket from all the collector's editions of games I have bought in the past that I still actually care about, is the physical copy of the Wizard's Companion from Ni no Kuni, just because that thing has a TON of work put into it, and because it's actually useful to have on hand when playing the game.

For soundtracks, if they're good, I'm happy with grabbing a digital copy later on if I want one. For the in-game extra content like armors and weapons and such, I've long since learned that they are almost invariably inferior to late game armors and weapons in pretty much all games, so they are pretty much useless, unless you're desperate for a handicap earlier in the game, which I certainly am not (too easy is the opposite of fun to me). Besides, a lot of said preorder "exclusive" armors and weapons often tend to be available to buy and download from PSN later on in the case of many games.

Save your money and buy a regular physical copy of the game, I say.

@thelostscribe: Why are those the only options? I imagine they will both live, and then both will go to another area of the world (probably Egypt).

@thecupidstunts: No, they confirmed the Norse saga will end with this game, making it a two part story instead of a trilogy. According to Santa Monica Studios, this is because they didn't want the saga to stretch over too many years, as each of the games take quite a while to make. Personally I still think it's a crying shame it's not a trilogy, though...I worry this game will rush the story to hell and back as a result. There is a lot to cover in just one game...
