I bought my new HD TV last weekend for MGS4 because it will look stunning. Now the choice comes to this...do I buy the game before I go into work and have NO money until Friday, or should I wait till payday?

Oh I can see the review now...

"Visually the game is stunning. Rockstar strided themselves in improving the the graphics from San Andreas and evolved the game, bringing in the Next Gen Era of gaming.

What we found most impressive was the storyline. Following Niko through the underworld of Liberty City in his desperate bid for survival was an experience we'll not forget in a long time.

This may sound well and good but the true downfall of this was, yes, you guessed it, the hotdogs. Once low on health we stopped by a hotdog stand to replenish our health. Upon buying it, the hotdog simply dissapeared. We turned the console off immidiately and disposed of the game. Dissapearing hotdogs, Rockstar? A true dissapointment.

4/10."

Yup.

It's true that most of the people that reviewed the game for magazines, websites and TV were placed in 5 start hotels with everything paid for and just let them plow through the game. This would sway someones decision I think.

Also, I too feel a little dissapointed, I completed the story mode and was basically like "Well, what can I do now?" So did the 'Most Wanted List' on the police scanner, drove around and did a few missions with the random people you meet on the street and then practically had nothing to do.

Then again, there is a very fun online mode but there simply enough to do once you've done the story mode which was easy due to the easy replayability of the mission by the phone, the cover system and the taxi's.

It was a great game to play and I am going to play through the story once more to see the different scenarios but after that, except for the online mode, can't think of much else to do except shooting pidgeons.

So...not only have you had a disgusting attitude to your Mum, your chance to play the best game of the year ruined cause your dad destroyed your PS3 because of YOUR anger, you attempted to post this on the here in an attempt to justify your actions. If there was truly any justice in this world, you wouldn't be allowed any of things you have and they'd be given to someone more deserving.

I hope you've read each and every one of these posts so you know what a horrible, self centred person you are.

I thought that since most us now have GTA IV, it would be interesting to hear any of the crazy, funny or just simply weird things you've been doing in Liberty City.

Heres one that sticks with me.

I was walking down the road when I saw a man preaching to everyone. So I pulled out my hand gun and shot him twice in the leg. Whilst he was on the ground I finished him off by kicking him to death.

Stood by his dying body I watch the ambulance pull up. The paramedic, obviously dedicated to his job, was screaming "DON'T DIE ON ME, DAMN YOU" before, to my horror, reviving the man. The Preacher then went to the ambulance, got patched up and left saying "ITS A MIRACLE!"

So I followed him down the road where I pushed him back onto the floor and stabbed him 12 times. The paramedic couldn't save him this time.

...SO...any more stories out there?

[QUOTE="gruoch1"]

[QUOTE="expanded"]i know i'm not the only one freezing.. what i want to know.. is this problem fixable through an update -__-
and if it is WHEN @__@!
expanded

I'm only an hour into the game and so far it's frozen twice. None of my other Ps3 games freeze and it's making Gta fairly unplayable. Is this because of a bad disk or are others having this problem?

yeah you're not alone.. its the GAME. it needs to have an update like Assassin's Creed T__T;
hopefully soon.. mine froze 2ce already.. just finished reinstalling the game data.. gonna try playing again soon

Think you're right there. My AC used to freeze but then I got my net set up on my PS3 and downloaded an update. It stopped. Think GTA just needs a patch for it.

Also, don't assume its the disk. I've read on a lot of forums about people taking it back assuming its faulty and the probelm just keeps happening. Could be a bad batch of them, but I'll stick with the theory that it needs an update.

Update: Also, some people have tried to deleted of the game and re-installing it. This does not seem to be working either in most cases. I suggest we patiently wait for a patch (Which is annoying as we've waited patiently for 3 YEARS!) hopefully they'll release one within 24 hours.

In about six hours! soon....soon

Also my friend just phoned cause he went to the midnight opening at his local ASDA. He said it was just chaos. He managed to get one of the last PS3 copies then shortly after that the 360 copies sold out. So because of this the people started to try and buy copies off people for like £200. Then the police came cause it was starting to get abit violent.

My god this game is gona be good.

Yeah me too! Booked Tuesday and Wednesday off. So even if it doesn't arrive tomorrow (which it probably won't) then I still got 2 days of GTA IV crankin'
