No way! That game is at least gonna get 9.0. So much brand new stuff, and on such a big scale. Completely new controls system, a full blown PvE end-game, seige pvp battle, mounted battles, city building, unique character creator, lots of story and cutscenes. And on top of that great graphics. Something has to go horrible wrong somewhere for this not to be like one of the top 3 games of the year.
Hmm... Dont really know if any genre in paticular bores me. Bad games bore me. I find good games in all kinds of different genres, Driving games, fps, strategy(real-time and turnbased), roleplay, MMORPG, tycoon games. Havent really played any flight simulators for a very long time, so i dont really know how they are now. One kind of game I do tend to avoid is horror games.
You're right, there is no perfect games, you can always find something against a game. But in my opinion doesnt it have to be perfect to be 10.0, it just have to be some of the best you can find. Godfather and Citizen Kane isnt perfect movie either but i would still give em 10.0 if i had to rate em.
My recent 10.0 games would be WoW and GTA:SA, because they just had so much content in them, and you could easily use 1000 hours on WoW and 100hours in San Andreas without getting bored. Both game had their flaws, but i will rather have a really long game with some minor flaws, than one of those shooters where you only get a 10-15hour singleplayer mode. If I should do a altime list i would probably also include Diablo and Tony Hawk 2 (once you figure out the controls).
Crysis was a quite short and most of the on foot missions could be completed in the same way. I think CoD4 was better, although it also was short, it forced me through some different kinds of playstyle.
I think the controls in assassin's creed are really easy. To crawl up stuff you just have to hold down a button and push forward. To assassinate some one you click another button and when you are in sword fights you just switch between holding down attack for hard hit, and clicking attack and parry at the same time to counter attack when someone attacks you.
Actually, the easy controls especially in sword fights is part of what makes the game so boring in the long run.
The end of Crysis, where you had to fight the big flying alien and the big swimming one. So hard and not fun at all. So annoying when it froze one for a minute or more.
CoD4 where you had to escape from from that farm while they sent battalion at you and had to call in air support.
And in GTA San Andreas I never got past the flight school. I think it would be easier to become a real pilot than learning how to fly in that game.
